RE: airtronics vg4r
In the radio support forum there is a manufacturer support forum for the various brands. The Airtronics forum is monitored well and somebody there should be be able to answer your question if somebody here can't. I'm not familiar with the vg4r radio so unfortunately I can't help there. Hogflyer

RE: It`s alive Hobbico 40 , 40 LA.
What prop are you running on the LA-40? I've found a 10X6 the best prop for the FP/LA 40. They are not high RPM engines, but that also helps with their longevity if treated properly. Hogflyer

RE: Engin mount older nexstar 40 monocoat.
The reason the LA 40 doesn't fit the NextStar is the plane was designed for ball bearing engines (the OS .46 specifically, but the TT .46Pro and Magnum .46 XLS will also bolt in), not the smaller, shorter and lighter bushing LA and FP series engines. The extra engine length is the reason why the LA wont' fit. Hogflyer

My initial thought was Taurus also. But the Taurus' I've seen have been wood (either kit or scratch built) which is what made me think it was something else based on the Taurus. When/by whom was a fiberglass fuse Taurus kit produced? Hogflyer

AutoZone or any automotive supply place should have it. Even Walmart, Target, K-Mart or a trailer supply/RV dealer should have some. I just picked up some 14g wire and heat shrink at AutoZone last week. Hogflyer
