RE: T6EXHP and gy-401
I have T6ex 2.4ghz and GY 401, dont put any rudder trim on the tx, that causes drift program the gyro to be at +65% on then -80% for off and unplug the motor. Turn off the gyro mod, and plug in battery then move your servo position, so the tail rotors are completely vertical when there is no rudder input. mark that position on the boom with a small piece of tape on the boom. Mark the boom position on the floor. flick on the gyro, grab onto the skids to make sure the frame doesn't move its original position then rotate the tail left and right then back to marked position. Check if the tail rotors are completely vertical or not, if not gain more on your gyro. Once you get it, test flight and MAKE SURE you turn on the tx with gyro off first then plug in the battery once the gyro initiates, unplug battery, turn on the gyro on tx then plug the battery back in. then it should be fine unless your main rotors aren't creating unwanted resistance

RE: Spending around a Grand then out of hobby ;(
I already made a decision, besides, I need cash pretty bad I'll be in University in a month for next 8 years. Then my job and gf would not give me any time. I'm yet to fix the latest crash that I made back in May but my summer job and being liqed isn't helping

Spending around a Grand then out of hobby ;(
Hey Guys, been a while since I posted something last time. Well my career is taking me far away from being able to afford this hobby financially and by time. Well I ended up with T Rex 450 SE V2 with brand new frame, and lots of upgrades including about 200 dollars on radio set up and gy 401 etc. Now... I need to get out of this hobby, but what would be the reasonable price? HS65MG x 3 S9650 and GY 401 CF Boom and some aluminum booms aluminum skids working motor align and working sonix esc lots of spare parts etc R617fs T6EX FASST 2.4ghz I know rex pro came out and what would be the reasonable price i should ask for?

RE: Trex 450 + GY401 tail lets go
3 Things mate, 1. Make sure the gyro to tail servo link os on properly and nto loose 2. No trim on tail , I mean ZERO 3. Check if the tail is on reverse

RE: How did you learn to fly?
high quality metal head + CF main blades = Expensive but crash would be cheaper since not much are gonna break. but again I had an advantage cause I flew real helicopter before r/c heli ($$$ for One hour heli=$$$ for One ESKY Belt-CP) so the only problem was orientation. I tried stepping back to coax after my 450 SE, and what a piece of crap! I suggest to skip coax

RE: Align 35A Yikes..
Skarn, one thing that really ticks me off is that I spent that $45 to buy an ESC that does NOT fry up like some of the cheaper ones like ESKY or Mystery do once a while. So I did have a good Sonix setup before I bought the Align setup, just for the benefit and i'm saying this one more time NEVER Align Electronics for me again

RE: Align 35A Yikes..
Sonix and Hobbywing never failed me but they are very cheap to find. I'm using Sonix 30A and now the motor heats up before even the BEC gets heat up

RE: Help tryed everthing with align 430x
i tried lubing my 430L and I saw smoke and smell something burning after 4 minutes flight but there's nothing I can think of that couldve been burnt besides that the motor gets extremely hot. Sonix 3500kv + 30A is a pretty good choice too. I love Align mechanics quality but I hate their electronics

45 deg up project
I k now that there is a mod out there that allows you to have the tail rotor to be 45 deg elevated at main rotor level but I don't know where to get it. I wish to change my heli to that cause my boom just got wrecked from in flight motor failure and the boom is actually bent up and GY 401 seems fine at holding on the new tail position. Where do I buy this mod?

RE: Align 35A Yikes..
I had tried a 30 bux sonix 30A, no problem a 15 bux hobbywing 35A on ebay, no problem 40~50 bux align 35A, goes up in smoke. Skarn, I'm running 1800mah 11.1v 3S 20C

Align 35A Yikes..
2nd run on T-Rex 450 SE V2 with align 3550kv motor when I land the heli a buddy just says "Hey it's smoking!" I thought he was joking and turn around and see pink/purple smoke coming out of the ESC. Wire comes apart from the ESC and oen of the piece from the ESC falls off. The heli is alright but I'm not satisfied with this ESC at all! Recommend NOT using it at all. I paid near $40 USD on this piece of junk that goes out in flame at its 2nd run. I only used velcro tape to keep it together to the heli and wth?! picture coming up

RE: need help choosing
belt-cp is what i started on it is an excellent heli except you break a lot of stuff at each crash If you really want go for a trex 450 se v1 clone and make sure the metal parts are high quality because usually Belt-CP crash costs around $20 cause of broken plastic parts my genuine align trex 450 SE V1 with CF blades usually cost me 10 bux or nothing at all at each crash. but align cost way too much and you also need the radio Belt-CP is not bad but rex 450 is cheaper in long shot

RE: Belt vs. tail motor
tail motor burns and counter torque sometimes turns off the tail motor completely and takes a while for it to fully function again. belt= annoying and sometimes hard to repair if you crash, and costs more. Capable of auto rotation and constant rpm for tail rotor gives easier tail hold

RE: What is a Good Camera Carrying Helicopter?
almost everyone starts this hobby for that, so did I.... Forget about the camera part because: 1. Vibration from the heli won't let you fly like if you are flying it from first person. Too much interference and range limit of the camera unless if you wanna spend half a grand on camera. 2. Learning to fly isn't that easy 3. If you want a long lasting heli, getting a trex 450 se v1 clone will be a good idea

you may wanna go with high quality CNC parts because they actually reduce $$$ on repairs because they don't break as much

RE: do i have a bad ESC?
if it's brushed setup there will be no noise from ESC or motor unless powering up Check your tx and rx and make sure that the 3d switch is off and throttle is at zero along with the trim at 0
