RE: xxt full throttle reverse cant stop it
yea nothing major yet, i noticed another thing though, it steers better to the right than to the left, when i have it off both wheels have the same rang of motion when pushing them but they dont see to have the same range or sensitivity when using the wheel on the remote, what could cause this?

RE: xxt full throttle reverse cant stop it
k well i got it figured out, there was a little dial thing like an older radio volume know thing in the center of the tx right below the steering wheel that u use to adjust forward and reverse. i'll probably have more stupid posts i figure out 3mins after i post them

RE: deal or not or make offer
well here are a few pics of it, the body has a couple little things wrong with it but over all 90% of it is in good condition, it also has aluminum wheels on it which is a nice plus and the body is not the one that came with it, its an extended cab body.

deal or not or make offer
so i was surfing craigs list for a cheap rc car while i waited to get my slash and i found these two electrics. was woundering if either are worth a darn, one is a clod buster, turns out i found a kit for it on ebay going for 400 something, the other is a xxt.

RE: deal or not or make offer
yea i didnt do too bad, now the question is what to do with them, i've heard that both of them can be pretty hot little items and the clod is more popular than the xxt due to its a rock crawler, plus i've got a slash coming as a christmas present so its a major major upgrade from the xxt, orignally i was going to buy them and race the xxt but i'm not so sure anymore might just use the slash as my basher

RE: deal or not or make offer
well i know i havent written here in a while and i didnt want to keep making posts cause i know it pushes topics with new posts back to the top and i didnt want to keep rambling on about nothing, but the new news is that i made the deal with the guy today i called him up about two weeks ago and his ad had expired and noone else had shown interest in them so i wound up getting them both for 150 when he was asking 150 each so 75 bucks a piece like i wanted, good knews is they came with freaking everything instruction manuals all the extra parts some un used stickers some parts that are still stuck to their orignal pieces u snap them off and everything thats just what i saw from a quick glance, i havent tore into the boxes just yet might do that some time tomorrow, but the kids grandson told me that he put aluminum wheels in the tires that cost over 100bucks instead of the pastic one's, even the remotes still have the boxes and the styra foam they came with lol, only bad thing is the body is a tiny bit dinged up here and there and on the xxt the back wing came off but some super glue can fix that right up, i couldnt start test the cars to see if they started due to the location we were at and he said they hadnt tested them so i tried to offer 120 but he didnt want to go that low so i gave him the amount we agreed on, now i just gotta get around to taking pics of the stuff.

RE: deal or not or make offer
yea thats my point exactly sure their vintage and older but i mean really who's gonna pay 200 bucks for something thats almost 20yrs old when u can go out and get something brand new today for 150ish and be able to buy parts for it, heck it might be kinda hard to find a shock tower for that xxt if i broke one then again might still be easy, personally once i found out what the clod is i've been a tiny bit more persisitant about trying again, both are new and he said his dad only used them for a short time, so its probably still in almost new condition. not to mention price is based on supply and demand if their wernt as many affordable rc cars out there now day and more were 4-500 dollars then those would probably be flying out of people's hands at 200 a pop but since u can get one brand new for 150ish people are going that route and saying F the vintage stuff. my personal un eduacated opinion though.

RE: Thinking of getting a Slash or other 1/10 scale MT/ST.
well from what i heard i just wanna add my two cents i'm not sure if it means this but consider this, do u want to spend more time running and bashing ur rc or going to the local hobby shop and browsing online and ordering the new parts for ur broken truck?? if u got money to throw away and dont mind looking for parts and tearing apart ur truck then get something else, if u do mind then so far from what i've heard the slash is almost as tough as it gets. slash= more time racing less time reparing, something else= more time reparing less time racing but hey what do i know right?

RE: deal or not or make offer
i just called and talked to him today and offered him 75 bucks for the xxt but he said that was lower than he was willing to go and i told him i can pick one up off ebay for like 90bucks, so anyways i struck out but i am trying a bit of trickery lol, i emailed him on a different email account asking if he would take 150 for both of his older rc cars which if he isnt paying attention would still let me have it for 75bucks and then do like another guy said sell the clod on another website. but this guy isnt too quick at answering emails and i dont really feel like calling him back cause he will know who i am by my voice lol, so this is most likely a case of a dude trying to turn a puddle of mud into a gold mine:( but we shall see

RE: Thinking of getting a Slash or other 1/10 scale MT/ST.
rough bashing wise i would have to say it holds up great, i also am new to rc's and will be getting the slash around christmas time but one guy at the local rc track i go to said he has jumped his off his roof several times and said that he actually broke his battery first before anything else on the truck keep in mind its probably not a two story house lol, he said he's had to replace one thing but i dont remember exactly what it was called but it wasnt major, the owner of the track said their as close to indestructiable as u can go baring in mind u dont run it full throttle into a boulder of course. no personal experience from myself yet just what i've heard and the night i was there they had 3 out of the track flipping around every which way and getting flipped over and running off again so i'm impressed with them.

yea 150 for both i believe, i wanted a baser electric and will buy the slash but i'm pretty sure i'm getting it for an x-mas present and i want something to tide me over till then lol, oh damn, i was just the CL ad and he said 150 each, although he does admit to not knowing much about either of them so maybe i could still get them for a sweet deal since he may not know much, maybe i can swing both for 100 if i say i'll probably wind up needing to buy new motors for them lol, well at any rate i wanna try and get the xxt it seems pretty decent and is more the size i'm after.

yea i was noticing that too, i read clod buster and i was like what in the holy heck is that some knock off el cheapo brand so i email him and only asked about the xxt t cause it didnt look so cheap and said i wouldnt have a use for the clod buster then i was like oh wait lemme go check ebay and see what its going for there and sure enough i found a NIB kit for the clod for 450 something and i was like woah ok maybe i should try to get both. so i'm thinking i'll just resell the clod if he's still got it, he said he had the xxt.
