Jack. Sounds like you have a good plan for that wing. Hope we can talk you into to photos as you do that carbon upgrade. I will need to do it to mine this winter when I build it and think I have about the same vintage kit you do.
ORIGINAL: marc s Dave, I would just do wood formers where appropriate and the same for the grey primer. I built one of these and did a full build thread on this forum for a client early last year and applied grey to key areas but not others. marcs
Marks. Do you have a link to the full build thread on this T-33 you did? I did a search but of coarse I could not find it. Ha. Thanks.

RE: C- ARF dealer for rookie 1
Mat. I've flu d that it's very helpfully to get a jet on up right high and slw that bird down with the speed brake on and fly it around kinda dirty just to see where it will fall off if you gt use to seeing it like that on a delta type it takes the pucker factor out a bit for a landing.

RE: C- ARF dealer for rookie 1
I have a Rookie 2 but don't have it set up right now. From what I can see as I do with all my jets is deploy that brake halfway down the downwind leg to slow it up. After my turn out of an upwind trek I don't put much throttle on. When I'm li Ed up with the runway, I try to be low enough that I don't have to dive it and build the speed back right before I want to flair.

Just be careful in that if your pipe is tapered that after you cut it up front the bell mouth will fit the smaller Dia.

Glen Smith. Was the pilot. Flew demo's with two other L-39's out of Texas. Met him once I believe. Bad crash. They were in a simple 45 deg. Banking turn and he could not pull out of it. The way I readit, two lost their life. Glen and one on the ground.
ORIGINAL: rhklenke
ORIGINAL: hooker53 [snip] Would I like to have an 18 in a 12X case? YES but that's not going to happen. [snip]
How do you know that? To me, the release of DMSS in the US means that JR is going to compete head-to-head with Spektrum, and I *hope* that means that they will release their own 12+ channel radio. They (JR) certainly need it to compete
