RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications
RBean, that looks awesome, thanks for the advice... what size prop are you running and are you using a ignition battery? also noticed that you are not using the stock retracts, is there a problem with the stock retracts? if yes, what are you using? Thanks Hosam

Hi Guys, I am looking at this plane and want to put a DLE20 in it... I know about the weight issue but I am more concerned about fit within the cowl, does any one have pictures of a DLE20 or any other gas motor in this plane? Regards Hosam

RE: SLICK ?
I have the 89 Slick with a DA50, the 70 Slick with a MT35 gasser and the 51 Slick electric and there is no comparison between them and any other plane I have flown that call themselves 3D planes... The 89 Slick hands down is the best flying plane I ever owned.... I am currently building the Extra SHP with a DA50 for IMAC, another great example from 3DHS... Cheers Hosam

Hitec 7955TG servo issue???
I think I am having issues with my Hitec 7955TG servos. The servos were purchased new last year for my 50CC plane and exhibited no issues the entire season. Over the weekend I went thought the plane to prep it for the flying season and noticed 2 of the servos (one on an Aileron and the other on an Elevator) would jitter like crazy constantly and never stop unless I unload the control surface. Also the control surfaces would actually deflect about an 1/8 in both directions and the servo never settles to the natural position. What gives? Are my servos going bad?

Programing issue with my 5945
Guys I need help on the Hitec programmer (HFP20). My problem goes like this, I am setting up my Hitec 5945 with my Futaba 9C and PCM receiver. The servo is first rest to factory specs by the programmer and the CW/CCW is set for the correct control surface movement; nothing else is set at this point. The servo is then connected to the receiver and the radio is turned on to check to see if the center mark with the horn used is perpendicular to the servo case and in this case it is dead on. The servo is now connected to the programmer in the servo socket and the receiver is connected in the receiver socket. The end point & center command is chosen and the first thing I check for is the center and it needs to be set at –5 (using the M button) to be dead on (same position as with the servo connect to the receiver and both radio and receiver are powered up). Then the knob is turned to –105 to set the right position (up button) then 95 to get the left position set (down button) to get the starting desired travel. After bring the knob back to the –5 mark the input button is pressed to exit the programmer. When the servo is plugged back to the receiver directly to check for center and travel I noticed that the servo is now off center. What am I doing wrong?

9C Flap Ailerons setup on a Chipmunk
Help… I am setting up a Super Chipmunk with ailerons and flaps. My original setup was to put right aileron on channel 1, left aileron on channel 6 with flapron mix and the 2 servos that control the flaps in a Y-connector on channel 5. All works great except I cannot reduce the amount of travel on my flaps (full down or nothing)… Please give me a breakdown on setting up this wing setup so I can control the amount of travel (preferably on a 3 switch position for full down, half way down and nothing)…

Guys, thanks for all the help on this. I have pulled th engine out of the airframe and next week, I will work on removing the plug cap and back plate to break the motor in. One more question, I noticed on Tower that AP has a 061, is that a Norvel copy or is it a Norvel now made by AP engines? Cheers Hosam

combatpigg, that is an interesting method. how do you get the head of this guy? It seems that I need some kind of a tool that will help in twisting the head off (or the top plate) as well as the back plate. sorry to ask stupid questions but the smallest engine I ever had (besides this one) was a OS 15 and that had normal glow head.
