RE: 11.1 Sky Lipo and Cellpro Multi-4 charger
You can go to www.fmadirect.com. They sell the cellpro charger and adaptors. If you charge your A123 batteries use the XH adaptor (converts from cellpro to e-flite and others) for charging that will also work with the Sky Lipo. They use the same adaptor. go here I think this is what you need.

RE: 62
I am a Sportsman competitor in Pattern and learning a lot. My (purchased used) Osiris has several of the problems described above and I am trying to figure them out. What tool/tools did you use to determine the incidence angles? Did you use F3AUnlimited Gators? My Osiris has similar problems. An old Aspera I purchased at a swap meet appears to fly better and I am trying to track down the problem. Interested to see the F3A Osiris when it arrives. Thanks

RE: os 91 fx problem
It is my understanding that the needle valve position in the original lead to vapor lock. It is located behind the cylinder so reduced airflow. The needle valve is attached directly attached to the backplate so heat transfer is high.

RE: How many mAh should I get?
The 6 volt battery will give you more better performance with your servos (faster and stronger) but will consume more amps in the process and weigh 1 cell more. You will need a slightly larger 6 volt battery to get the same flight times. One advantage of a 6v battery is that if you loose a cell you still have 4.8 volts. Be sure your servos will work with 6v. Older ones may have problems. I like the Hydramax 6v 2000 mah batteries

I crashed my f-86 and ripped off the right wing near the root. What glue or repair method would anyone recommend or do I need a new wing. The tear is clean without any missing pieces. Did the same thing to a Beast so I have two repairs pending.

RE: Pattern Clinic and Contest at Georgetown, Tx
I believe Bill Meza won Sportsman. His dad, Luis, was 3rd in Intermediate. They were both extremely helpful to me. This was my first contest and the first time I had ever attempted to fly the full sequence. Great fun. I hope to do it again in May at Katy. Perhaps my OS 55AX powered Kaos is in need of an upgrade.

RE: Hard case lipos
I have a fellow flyer who has used the hard case lipos in his own design p-38. He did it because of the fit into the fuselage. He has plenty of power to so the weight is not as important. The are 1s packs wired in series to give 3s There is no harm in using them except for the weight.

I am from the Hill Country Aeromodelers in south Austin. I plan on attending. Not sure what I will fly but it won't be a full size pattern aircraft. I purchased a 3DHS Aspera at the recent swap meet in Georgetown to practice with.

RE: What is the most common battery connector?
It would be interesting to have a chart of the most common plugs (Deans, XT60, bullets in 3,4,5,6 mm) etc and their max and spike amps different gage wire could handle. Here is a wire gage link. http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm I have seen comments of 100 amps for deans. Here is a quote from another thread. The Dean's web page says that a Dean's Ultra has less resistance than an equivalent length of 12 gauge wire. That, using the table mforsyth linked, means that an Ultra is suitable for at least 41 Amps. The 16,14 and 12 gauge wires you asked about are ranked at 22, 31, and 41 Amps respectively. All rules of thumb of course but certainly a safe starting point. The answers differ significantly.

RE: Non Futaba FASST RXs
I have a FUTABA 10C and I have used the frsky transmitter module and receivers without any problems for airplanes as large as 6'. A fellow pilot has used them for 90 size bi-planes. I trust them completely. I have not used my Orange Futaba receiver yet but the DMS2 compatible ones work well with my Spektrum 7.

RE: Thrust table
I can see where wheel drag will affect simple thrust measurements I can also see the problems with setup drag. Is it fair to conclude that any thrust measurements will be on the low side due to these factors? Do you think it would be more than perhaps 10%? I would think that changing thrust changes from different props or fuels would still provide a reasonably accurate difference between thrust measurements. Something you could make a decision on. e.g. If a 12x6 give 6 lbs of thrust using the above method and a 13x6 gives 7 lbs of thrust on the same airplane. I cannot imagine an error so large that the 12x6 would actually give more thrust. Am I missing something?

RE: Fabricating rigid and lightweight push rods
Karolh. I am not sure I understand your technique. If you drill a hole 2" from the end of the CF rod and then make a 90 degree bend in the metal rod then how do you get the rod into the tube. I just can't picture that.

I have thought about making one of these but just learned the name sun dot. So the shield part is opaque. I was thinking translucent. Perhaps a piece of smoked plexiglass. What is everyone's experience? At my field the sun can rise almost directly in front of you in the morning. It is often a bother until about 11 in the summer time.

RE: $53 for 9ch 2.4ghz tx?? any info?
I have had excellent experiences with my orders at hobbyking. Many people in my club have also experienced good service and we have placed several group orders. 00. Read the HK reviews and select well reviewed products. 01. Don't order anything that is out of stock. 10. I have not had any failures but sometimes products fail. Accept that as a cost of doing business. You are still saving money in the long run. I'll probably place my 11th order in the next few days. I've been a happy customer for over 18 months. I purchase everything from servos, receivers, batteries etc. All my orders have been sent from the home office.
