Every time that I say that I am going to go work on planes or guns, she suddenly has 12 to 15 more urgent, must be done right now, things for the honey do list. I'm sunk!!

RE: Sig Kits (Limited Quanity)
ORIGINAL: 06sportster My Wonder kit made it to me in 4 buisness days from Tower. I'm guess like the others said printed space is just a premium, I do all my shopping from on-line. The catalog and flyers do make good restroom reading though.
And that is exactly what the catalog does best. Keep you thinking about the hobby, products you want, and the tower name even away from the internet. Even on the throne. I don't know how many of you are of the younger set, but it does remind me of the Sears Wishbook. For those that don't know, Sears used to make a rather thick catalog of all the Christmas goodies that a kid could dream of. They were slick catalogs, mostly laid out in glossy color. (a big deal in those days.)All across the nation, kids would go nuts when the wishbook arrived in the mail. It was the toys R Us of the 50's and 60's. I could sit for hours pouring over that book each year, drooling on the pages of all the toys. Now, as adult, I still sit for hours loking over the tower catalog. Especially in the bathroom!!! There is nothing like a picture to whet the appetite of desire.

RE: Sig Kits (Limited Quanity)
I was also suprised about Sig not being in the catalog. Not even their accesories. Now, the catalog cannot contain every item that they show in the web. The paper advertising space is limited and expensive, even though it is a big catalog, They may have just made a decision that the Sig line does not provide enough mail order and telephone (as opposed to internet) sales to justify the inclusion in the calalog. Thanks to modern computing power, even the marketability of individual items over different venues can be addressed with respect to profitability. It might be the case here.

RE: Any one using JBA075A or dependable substitute?
I have a JBA 75 and all of the SK engine line. The JBA 75 and the SK 70 are identical except for engine porting (and the paint job). The JBA ports are higher, like a standard port engine, where the SK are lower, thereby lowering RPM but increasing torque.

RE: tm-8 module blinking green
It means RF power is on. This is from page 4 of the TM-8 user manual and page 2 has a led status chart: "Range Check the Radio It is extremely important to range check your models prior to is functioning as it should and to obtain maximum enjoyment from your time flying. The TM-8 transmitter module incorporates a system that reduces its power output and allows you to perform such a range check. 1 Turn on the transmitter. 2 After the radio frequency link has been established (as indicated by either a solid green LED or a blinking green LED, press and hold the "F/S, Range" switch located on the rear of the TM-8 transmitter module. As indicated by the blinking red LED, the radio frequency power has been reduced to allow for the range check. RE: BAD NEWS FOR GMS OWNERS !!!!!!!!
I will throw this into the mix. For quite a while, Tower was sold out of the Super Tigre ringed 61, but had the Super Tigre abc 61 in stock. That has turned around, and they have the ringed 61 in stock, but not the ABC. Could the ringed 61 units be some of the stock arriving as Bax had said that they were in the pipeline?

Engine size for SR Telemaster W. Floats?
Well, I have the Telemaster kit, and I think that I will make this one with floats. The question is what engine will pull it out of the water well? I will probably be towing banners with this thing too, but without the floats, of course. Price is a problem, so 4 stroke is out. The engine chices that I have made all lie in the SK line frome Kangke. [link=http://www.kangkeusa.com/skengines.htm]Kangke USA[/link] It is between the 70, 80, or 90. I'm concerned the 70 won't be enough, the 90 too much, and the 80 is real close to being a 70 Thoughts anyone?

RE: [Deleted]
These price increases are hurting, especially when I can't buy what I want due to no stock. I have a $25 merchandise certificate that I sent in to Tower and had it earmarked for a Tower .61. So much for that coming in anytime soon. As you all know, It has been backordered since around Christmas or before. Now the asking price has gone up but there has only been unrealized expected arrival dates that change from month to month sort of like being strung along. When it is a chronic out of stock like this, price increases seem odd. The certificate is worth less and less. I am not blaming Tower for the stock problem, as it is probably Chinese supply problems caused by The China government shutting down a lot of manufacturing plants to reduce pollution for the Olympics. That is the area of politics, and is OT here. Anyway, I really think it is part the blame on oil costs, part on the dollar devaluating, and part that the Chinese workers wages (and all the rest of the world) going up. EVERYTHING is going up, across the board.

RE: SK ENGINES
Ok, I now have a SK70, Sk80, and a SK90. For anyone that wants to know about the sizes, well, they are all exactly the same size. The only way that I can tell them apart is the 70, 80, or 90 cast on the side of the engines. Turn them over to the other side, and I can't tell you which is which. Mufflers are the same. In other words, they all have basically the same case. I'm about to order another 70 and 90.

Tower and GMS now late June and July!! What a mess.
Tower has the GMS listed as late July and the Tower engines Late June. I gave up a couple of weeks ago. Glad I did. Bought something else. It's getting so bad, it's pathetic now. At least there are a few other engines available.

RE: Tower and GMS engines coming? Anybody know?
Thanks for the reply, Bax. I am looking forward to buying two of the Tower engines, a 61 and a 75. I've got a rebate in the works that is earmarked for them. I know that some things take time, and I am sure that the delays are unavoidable, as the retailers like Tower are probably taking a hit since the season is about to start. Not many things are worse in business than having a market for a product and not having stock. I hope they keep up the QC and keep making great engines. They are worth the wait, IMHO. Bion Rogers
