RE: Trade airbrush work for minicrawler?
Quality of work almost doesn't matter right now. I've been out of work for about 4 months, and given out prob 20 resumes, I got a lead on a restoration shop, but who knows. Times are ruff, and no one wants to some one when theres no business coming in. People are gonna cut out all the non essentials first, and custom painting/fabrication is def in that list. I'm barely making my bills now, that's why i offered to trade for work, cause i def cant afford to buy one, and i know someone on here is bound to have a crawler of some sorts they don't want anymore, lol

RE: Trade airbrush work for minicrawler?
Thanks, and i realize the truck graphics are hit or miss for people. But i wanted something really eye catching for a "rolling business card", so far its worked well. Painting is how i've earned some side money right now. I've had a few friends that say they'd buy me a tattoo guy if it'd tattoo em, but none have gone through with it. Theres no quality tattoo shops around here in my opinion, so i'm not really up for an apprentice ship. I'm working on getting a job at a car restoration shop about an hour away in a big city, so I might look into some tattoo shops there. I've designed quite a few tattoos, just never done them. Thanks for the input

RE: chrome paint?
I've never seen a paint that looks like chrome, its all just high metallic silver. The only company i've seen that has anything close is ALSA and its and automotive paint, and it cost more than real chroming, lol. Just tell him to buy new wheels, that's his best bet

RE: flat black
[quote]ORIGINAL: PhilDz [quote]ORIGINAL: humanmachinehead i've never done it, but i don't see why it wouldnt work.... Get some really fine grade sand paper, like 1500-2000 or more. Just sand down the outside till the shine is gone. Take your time and don't baredown hard, let the paper do the work, that way it'll come out even looking. Then spray any black on the inside

RE: onroad Hilux?
i cant believe i didn't notice that, i even looked for it, lol. Are there wheel options that have an offset that might get em inside that small of an area? Otherwise i'll just widen the body

onroad Hilux?
I'm currently trying to save up for an onroad car, possible a HPI Sprint 2 Drift Sport, idk yet. I'm also a huge minitruck guy, and i love the old toyotas, i'm current trying to get ahold of a 1980, hence my question... If i get an onroad that takes a 190mm or 200mm body like most do, does anyone know if the body off the tamiya hilux high lift will have the same wheelbase? I know it would take a whole lot of work if it does, but its totally work it to me if the wheel base is the same http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=58397 Thanks Aaron

i don't remeber the name of the battery or the charger without looking, i think the batteries had a shark on them, but they are made to charge in 15 minutes, and i've left them in longer than that, and same thing

Evader Question
Ok, so i have and Evader that i haven't used in about a year or two, it started to screw up so and i've had other things that i have had to focus on rather than fix it, but now i have some extra cash and was thinking about fixing it, depending on cost. what's wrong is i'll charge it for the full 15 minutes. hook it up to the car, and it will launch full speed for about 10 feet, then it just dies basically. I've tryed both the batteries i have and they both do this. What's wrong? Could the batteries be bad from being inactive for so long? Any help appreciated

RC Draggin
Just wondering, I'm really into minitrucks and airbags, stuff like that, so i was wondering if anyone has tryed to make an RC car/truck with a fully controlable ride hieght, to drag it, hop it, 3 wheel, etc. Seem like it would be pretty complex and pricy, but i was jsut curious, cause i'd like to build an RC to match my real truck after i get done building it[:D] pics or videos would be awesome thanks
