RE: Can anyone Identify this???
Yeah, either the LXT, or XX-T (double, not triple) - I agree with Wookie. Looks like an early losi stadium truck.

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Well, I got my Slash in on Friday and I must say... I'm pretty impressed with it. The chassis has body roll all over the place, and the trucks body is huge, but it's really fun to tool around with. I also invested in a 'Watt's Up' meter which may well be one of the most useful tools I've bought for my Electric RC's. The meter will read voltage, voltage minimum, amp hours, watts, peak amps, and more and it stores it for you to review at the end of your bash session. The little thing only weighs about 4oz and it plugs inline with your battery. I found some really interesting data from the first couple'a runs that I did.. Namely that the little Traxxas XL-5 ESC/12T titan combo draws a peak of 45amps! Thats alotta power. Very cool.

RE: Factory Tracks Raceway MT racers
I'm pretty stoked to see that there are decent showings for Stock-Class Slash racing. I've been putting off ordering one all summer, but after reading you guys' comments about the slash races... I finally picked one up. Now I gotta get one of those fancy batteries to run in it! Is there only slash racing on the Nitro days, or are they running on electric race days as well?

RE: Ice Charger
You can do what you like with your charger, I'm completely aware of the construction behind a lithium battery (series and parallel configuration to make different pack sizes). I just don't think that using a ICE charger to do a parallel charge of 2 batteries is your best option. Can it be done? Yep. Should it? Well, if you've got 2 balancers, and the batteries have been run together (equally discharged), Go for it. Is it a best practice? No, most certainly not. [;)]

RE: Ice Charger
While this isn't particularly advisable under any battery chemistry, with Lithium Polymer you absolutely DO NOT want to charge them in Parallel (2 at a time). The problem that this will cause is that even though the batteries may be identical, they have slightly different charge/discharge characteristics that cannot be taken into account by the charger's software. The charger will not properly be able to detect possible fault conditions with the lithium cells and could result in failure of one or more of the cells or batteries due to over voltage. It is highly recommended that when you are charging lithium poly, you charge each individually using a proper charger (ICE is fine) and utilizing a mechanism to balance the cells.

RE: Return of Lunchbox..
Not sure why the person was clearing it out... Likely just one to many kits in the basement. Chassis was assembled, but the body wasn't finished... So I painted it up and will finish it tonite with some stickers. Thanks for the PM, LB... I'll get back to you on that controller. I'm not sure if I'm going to run the stock motor, or pop in mild brushless for fun =)

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
ORIGINAL: []TEX[] Jim, that pack is life size on my laptop, LOL! What brought you to get that battery brand? I know we are always looking for the best battery and the best price. Another great Lipo that surfaced this year was Outrage at HeliDirect. The best part about high quality Lipos is that they can take the high draws from todays BL systems without over straining the the cells. http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=7324
TEX The Battery is about 6.55inchs long, 1.8inch wide. It's big, but not overly so. Reasons I went with Neu. +10 gauge battery wiring +Korean Lipo cells (apparently these are all the rage) +Balancing taps are standard +30c continuous is ridiculous... +60c surge is even MORE ridiculous =) +I got it for 50% of the regular price... Chock that up to a heckuva bargin. So lots of really good points, plus I got a helluv'a deal on it. [:D]

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Well, I've owned a couple'a nice lipos, but this one is the top-of-the-line setup. 18.5v Nue Energy - Korean Made Lipo. Nice looking pack. 5s5000mah 150amp continuous rating... Ridiculous power, 60c surge rating. Anyway, they're about 300 bux from Neu. I figured it'd be interesting to see what a real battery did in my recently finished brushless truggy =)

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Someone on RC-Mons. had mentioned a plastic spur... It'd be a pretty easy swap, do you know what part I'm looking for? Link maybe? If not, no big deal. That might be the best way to approach the pinion wear issue. I set the mesh so it has NO backlash and runs quiet and smooth. I think I'll just burn this 16t pinion up and then order a smaller pinion and get that Kyosho gear. [8D]

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
ORIGINAL: warheadforever That thing is nice hunter! [:D] P.S. that spur looks a bit thin....LOL
Yeah, common width for the buggy/truggy spurs... We'll see how long it lasts. The pinion is what I'm worried about, I bought a hardened one, but I'm pretty sure it's just going to disintegrate running against the treated spur gear.

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
ORIGINAL: Lunchboxer Jim, Why take out the MMM?? That thing definitely needs some 4S or 6S LiPo!! [:D]
The BK can handle 18v, so 4s lipo should be just fine. I'll need to get a fan on it (already in the works) and get a BEC to power the RX and servos. I'm thinking probably 3s to keep everything under control. Right now, it runs pretty fast for 7cell NiMh... I think it'd be ballistic with anything over 4s lithium. PS... Did you guys see the new Losi truck? Looks pretty cool, they actually made a newer chassis!

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
More work on my Mayhem ST conversion. Yesterday I weeded out all the old electronics, installed the motor-mount and rough-fit everything for a driving test. 2 Things I found, I need to drop about 2 teeth on the pinion gear... and I need a really good battery. I replaced the Monster Max with a BK/Warrior that is more suited to the job, the Monster Max will find a home in a larger brushless project, I think. RE: THE LOUNGE 2
ORIGINAL: Eman77 Right - so I was running the E-Savvy today and sheared the universal shaft on one of the rear wheels, near where it meets the transmission housing. Major bummer. I'm only running 14.4V NiMh with dual Titan 23T motors. Geared with 18T pinions (which might be a bit low for brushed, but it's all I have). This is the part that broke: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPCV5&P=Z Any suggested replacements, from you E-Savage owners out there? (Note: I'm not trying to complain to hunter about this....these things happen. I'm just looking for stout replacement advice.)
