RE: Exceed-RC Raptor G2 Keeps Spining
You have to disassemble the heli to gain access to the tail rotor gear........sometimes after a crash the gear will mess up making heli spin.......change gears and replace gyro with GY192......there is no specifin measurement for tail rod servo adjust....try to keep the 90 degree angle withthe servo horn......with the tail blades in neutral position....that will get you close for alignment.....then you can fine tune it with Tx........let me know how it goes or any questions...........I have a G2 Raptor and have had it apart several times....... I also have a Dynam 450....it came with the GY192....gyro.......I had gyro issues with raptor and decided to try the Dynam's GY192....it worked perfectly......XHELI has them for about 13.00 bucks.....great deal........just plug it in and your ready......

Yes it was a typo.......its the GY192.......they work great with the raptor.....and most 450 heli's..........

wont power up...
I have a Dynam 450 E-Razor........my problem is when I power up the Heli..the blade barely turns....then stops...does this everytime.....I checked my battery and motor..they are fine......Ithink that it is the speed controller.......I had replaced a few parts, not electrical..then powered it up..just fine....notice my pitch was a little off...after resetting pitch.........It would not power up...main rotor turns slightly then stops........ Anyone have any ideas......??????

RE: Exceed-RC Raptor G2 Keeps Spining
Ok a few things.... If thats the G2 raptor that you have you need to chage the GYRO.......sounds like you crashed and bent the tail......those Gyro's do not hold up well with crashes......get the Detrum GY92 I think...its the smaller Detrum Gyro......also check your servo mounting for the rite distance from tail.. then also check the tail servo horn...where the tail rod connects...make sure you have proper hole.......there are a lot of factors involved......chech for range of servo motion.......it may be to great... I would still change the GYRO......Xheli has the DETRUM Gyro for around 12.00 dollars......very nice GYRO I use then on all my HELI'S

check your gain on the TX.........too much will make tail jerk back and forth........RUDD MIX.....I think it is the left knob.....all the way to the left will make tail jerky.........I keep mine at about 9 o'clock or so......you will know when its right....

RE: Exceed RC G2
Buy a 6 channel simulator....and practice...practice...practice........it will take a good couple of weeks or so to get used to flying 6 channel......also look at youtube.........very use stuff to learn......make sure all linkage is straight and not bent........check the pitch on blades......check everything.....buy a crash kit.....check trims.......make sure the are set right........start off with 50% throttle........make sure tail is adjusted at this point.......not spinning and you have a good hold......then a little more power......a couple of inches off ground you should be able to adjust trims...but do this slowly on a flat surface in an open area......once you have heli trimmed out...start hopping.........do this for a week.....then go fowards a little.....tail in..........land...keep doing this..........the rst will come to you......it takes alot of time and patience to become a good flyer.......watch the videos that Xheli make......all of them.......ou can learn alot from those guys.........

Ok... enough of the Xheli bashing.......I have purchased 3 heli's form them and have been completely satisfied.......I own a G2 Raptor......If you buy a raptor...purchase a Detrum Gyro.....You will be glad you did...... The second purchase was Dynam 450 Heli.......Nice Heli........the 3rd bird was EXI 450 pro kit.............Used EXI servos and Detrum Gyro............Very nice Heli.......... The guys at Xheli are great....have had nothing but great products and good customer service from them.

They should be analog.....check and see what the Gyro setting is.... if it came with that servo your Gyro should be pre-set.....

RE: what is the right hov pit...help ...help
well temperature and humidity do come into play............I always like to let my Heli sit for a while before flying, this helps the Heli's electronic's to adjust to the outside.......As far hovering good oneday and the next not so good..........hmmmmmm let the chopper aclimate to the outside.....make sure batteries are all up to par.....I always like to pre-test setting holds on flat surface......run Heli up to 50 % throttle...just before lift off.......make sure all settings are right....pitch, gyro, etc..........................happy flying........

RE: what is the right hov pit...help ...help
One reallly big suggestion..................Buy the 6 channel flight simulator.................And do nothing but practice...........also learn all the settings on Tx......Most helis are RTF out of the box but there will be some finetuning......usually with the tail settings...........make sure you know how to do this before attempting to fly 6 channel Heli.............Watch Youtube...........they have a lot of great videos that can help you learn............... It will take you some time just to learn how to hover in place...........

G2 Raptor Gyro
Ok everyone here is the scoop..........I have had my G2 for a couple of months and havent had any success flying it.......could not get tail to stablize.....even rebuilt the heli with new main tail gears......still no success.......Got tired of this and decided to buy the Dynam 450 Razor...... and did not have a bit of problem flying this Heli.......very nice chopper from Xheli................last night I decided to take the gyro off the Razor and put it on the Raptor................What a difference........actually flies beter than my 450 Razor...............I really like my G2 now...I am really impressed the way it handles....Flies like a Dream..............................So now I am going to replace my Razor's Gyro with the G148.........Should have two really good Heli's to Fly..............................9 times out of ten when stability can not be acheived with tail..........change Gyro...........should fix problem......Xheli has the GY 148 Gyro for around 13.00 really good price for really good Gyro...........................

RE: G2 Raptor
Hello Eric....My order number was yhst-94582326164583-388066. But I think that I may have solved the problem......After rechecking everything, servo alignment, servo rod, and making sure everything was correct, I discover that the Gyro was was not set at nor rev......made adjustment and G2 seems to be steady.... but still has just slight movement that I can not seem to stop.... I have the stock transmitter.....is there a better one that I can use.................And also does the speed controller affect gyro......sometimes gyro will go on and off when moving speed controller...I am going to buy exta parts for both G2 and my 450 Razor shortly........What updrades do you recommend for the G2...as far as Gyro and servos...also thinking about upgrading motor and battery.......what do recommend ....????

G2 Raptor
Hello Andy, I have been having a problem with my raptor......Ever since I got it from Xheli out of the box.......I have yet to fly it.......Every time I crank it up to about 45 to 50% throttle...the whole heli rotates to the right..........Now after several replacement parts and checking everything twice...making sure that the servo lines up with tail connector......adjusting....adjusting....and adjusting the the Tx.....I cant seem to get to stop.............I HAVE REPLACED EVERYTHING EXEPT THE GYRO......... I REALLY THINK THAT IT WASNT ANY GOOD TO START WITH...................... I just got my Dynam 450 razor the other day from Xheli and did not have a problem adjusting Tx setting rotor...........and other fine tunnings........I have spent a lot of monet recently with Xheli and have not had a problem untill I bought the G2.......Do you have any ideas ..........If it is a bad Gyro....it was bad when I got it.........The heli enitializes with tx....then the red light on gyro go out..........it will not stay on.......I think that this is bad Gyro.....my tail servo moves when heli is on and I am moving it........Help me Andy....................... I want to fly my Raptor.....

I am waiting for my parts to come in from X-heli........replacing the tail rotor gears front and back.....had a couple of crashes and wasted a couple of main blades broken and bent the fly bar....fixed that then noticed a spin CCW at aout 50 % throttle...now I have the raptor completely tore down and waiting for the front and rear tail rotor gears......In the mean time I need to know what the transmitters setings are from the factory..........The G2 came with a Walkera 2602........ I think some of the settings got messed with trying to figure out CCW SPIN...not mentioning names....... All I now that it is in stick mode one which is rigth...the rest of them I do not know......Can someone tell me the right settings. On my Gyro the settings are at NOR & REV.........which I think is the way it was set when I got it............My transmitter is Exceed Rc 2.4 GHz with auto programming. Ijust need to know what settings should be what ..........Thanks...........................

Exceed G2 Raptor Disassembly Help
I Need Help, I have a G2 and crashed, messing up a main blade and bending the main blade screw and flybar. replaced these parts and went to power it up and before it stars to get off groud it spins CCW. I have discovered after reading post's on the subject that the tail rotor main gear is stripped. Holding the tail rotor with one hand and turn main rotor, results the tail rotor does not turn, only turn when there is no resistance to tail rotor. So I am disassembling the G2 and can not figure out how to get the sterring dowel out of the main shaft sleeve. I have the top half removed and I am to this point and stuck. I do not want to break or bend anything trying to get it out. Diagrams just give a layout of how they are aligned, it does not tell you how to do it. Please help my parts will be here soon. Ok after further inspection I ahve figured it out.....now my Raptor is completly disassembled and awaiting parts........:)

RE: RC Helicopter Double Horse Volitation Needs a doctor
Right.....check and make sure the two gears are turning with the blades....there are set screws on each gear...make sure that they are tight but not over tighten....they strip easily.......I had to use an over size self threading srew on mine. Once that they are line up anf set...your gyro can by stabilized with transmitter.......Not a bad chopper...I have one. I soon had to get something better because I notice that it does not do well in the slightest wind......there are some upgrades tha tyou can do to solve this issue.......take the ends off two main blades and size them to fit your tail rotor.....super glue them on............you will have better and more responsive control.....it will fly better against slight wind.

Exceed G2 Raptor
I am disassembling the G2 to replace the tail rotor main gears. Had a couple of crashes and my G2 spins CCW....tested the tail rotor and it slips when I hold the tail rotor and turn main rotor. Anyway I am having difficulty removing the main shaft sleeve....do not know how to the remove dowel. I have the main axis sleeve and everything removed up unto this point. How do you get the dowel out of the main shaft sleeve? Anyone that can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Exceed G2 Raptor Help....
Hello All, I am a bit new to the 6 channel series helicopters and decided that the Exceed G2 would be a good start. I got my G2 and was fine out of the box. Was practicing lightly hovering and turning using training kit..... I took my eyes of the G2 for a spilt second and it took off side ways and I freaked out......LOL. I killed the power but still broke the main blades and bent the main blade shaft and bent the flybar....I replaced the parts and powered it up to before it gets off the ground it spins counter clockwise...???? I then held the the tail rotor with right hand and tried to turn the main rotor clockwise......It did turn clockwise while the tail did not move....I think that the tail rotor belt main gear is stripped....I read alot on this subject anf that is what I have been seeing.....CCW movement after main rotor strike in crash......... Also I may have changed the settings in the transmitter...does anyone no what the settings are...it is a walkera 2.4 GHZ 2602 transmitter I have the New DS Gyro and the settings are Normal & Reverse......... Ok there you have it....can someone help me with this.....I am going to disassemble Johhny 5, thats what I named the G2...LOL anyway Johhny is going to be broken down and I will order the Tail rotor main gears, frnt and back...this should take care of the CCW spin.....I hope........ But I still need help with the Trans. settings........
