RE: remembering D-Day
the other day i had the honor to meet two great servicemen. one was a survivor from the attack on pearl harbor and the other served on the aircraft carrier lexington. i personally thanked them for their sacrifices they gave to our country to keep us free....and the stories they told!!!!! it was super great

RE: Memorial Day
one of my most favorite things to do is when i see a veteran wearing his ww2 hat is to go up to him and introduce myself to him and say THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SACRAFICES FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SO I AM FREE TODAY. this usually brings a tear to their eyes and they thank me for letting them know that they were and still are appreciated for their service. the sad thing is the younger generation doesnt have a clue what the big one was all about and they never say anything to them at all. what a shame.. i hope i get a chance to see more of them and the ones still in uniform this weekend and thank them personally again. if you get a chance and see some of them then let them know they are appreciated,,,, a vet myself

RE: How to get Missing peaces of a ARF Kit (TopFlite)
i got a set of robart retracts for my stang. i wasnt going to put in a rear retract because of the cost but since it was in the set i did. my parts i need were aluminum bracket that held the tail wheel doors open when the gear was retracting. they sent me the whole kit and kabootle with nuts, bolts, screws and they part i needed for free...try them again and you might get luckyby the way,,,how much for the 40 tail wheel if i may ask..just make sure that the kit and arf part are the same

RE: How to get Missing peaces of a ARF Kit (TopFlite)
i got a new to me giant stang also (top flite). i discovered i had a couple missing pieces that held the tail gear open for retracts. i called top-flite and they sent me the whole bag of nuts, bolts, screws and the parts i needed for free.i then asked about the main gear doors and was told you have to buy the whole dang wing set to get the doors because they are NOT sold seperately. my buddy is building the kit giant and found out that it doesnt come with any landing gear at all... i also learned from them that an arf and kit have very few interchangable parts
