RE: Seeing Helicopter from a distance, very hard
hi im in the same boat as you mate practicing helis on phoenix v3, only i have beel flying planes for the last year. when i was training on pheonix with the planes i had the same question, but i found that after flying the real thing that they are much easier to see and make out in the air. so im guessing hellis are the same, its just harder to see on the computed screen thats all. good luck!!

fs kmc desert truck wheel tyre options??
hi, i bought one of these trucks last week and i have only run it for approx 2hrs and have already blown 2 of the tyres to bits. rather than replaceing them with the stock tyres (which are crap) im looking into something more durable, does anyone have any idea how to get around having to run these soft crappy tyres, and possably being able to run stronger beadlocked ones, thanks

RE: Longer flight times please!!!
unfortuanatly i could not get my hands on a volt meter today, but i did get a chance to charge the batterys with a propper lipo balance charger and did some testing on the flight times of my fully charged batterys. both batterys took no longer than 1hr to charge the 3 cell 1800mAh battery lasted 3min 10sec and the 3 cell 2200mAh battery lasted 4min 55 sec as far as these batterys go is that what i should expect?

hobby king nitro ducati.... help
hi guys, i bought a hobby king (victory hawk) nitro ducati a few weeks back and iv had nothing but trouble with it, i know you get what u pay for and they are a rip-off of the thunder tiger bikes but i could not resist for $170au. Anyway iv had about 15 years experance with nitro engines and for the life of me i cant get this thing to stay running, a few seconds after i take the igniter off it dies every time. iv replaced the plug 3 times, leaned it out (thought it may have just been too rich), had the engine and exhaust out to inspect it for air leaks ect, and the clutch is all good. They run a .15 engine with a HSN, a idle needle, but it has NO LOW SPEED NEEDLE (never seen a nitro engine with no lsn b4). the only way i can run it is i leave the igniter connected, and thats no good. anyone seen this b4, iv had it with this thing, any ideas why it wont run?

RE: Lipo charge question
I don't have a multi meter but that did give me the idea to plug the battery into my low voltage buzzer, it alarms when the cells drop below 3.3v. When I plugged it in the alarm started to sound strate away, and only 3 of the 4 LEDs were on this tells me that one of the cells have dropped below 3.3v. Does that mean the battery is buggered or can it b repaired

RE: Lipo charge question
This is the charger: http://www.prolux.com.tw/product.php?mode=show&cid=46&pid=249 And the battery is a 14.8v 20c 2200mAh 4s Li-Po plane battery. Normally when I charge my car packs I just plug the battery in, select the amp current I want, then press and hold the start button until the charging process starts. With the plane pack I select the amp current, then when I press and hold the start button the charger starts to beep and won't stop untill I press and hold it again, so the charging process won't start. The battery is brand new and still has enough power in it to run the jet, but it needs to b charged fully b4 I go out flying.

Lipo charge question
Hi, I've been flying for a while now and my wife got me a edf jet for Christmas. It came with a 4s lipo pack that I have been trying to charge with a prolux 2-6c lipo charger (the one I use for my cars) but it just won't charge. Why won't my charger charge this battery, it still works fine with my car lipos

New to nitro bikes, and having trouble!
After being into rc for the last 15 years and owning countless cars trucks helis planes and boats I decided to get a nitro ducati. I have had nothing but dramas with it. Every time I fill it up with fuel using the filler bottle provided I can only get half a tank in b4 fuel starts pissing out the exhaust and the engine floods like u would not believe. Then when I get it going the POS will not turn very well, I can't even turn around in my street. Am I missing something caus I'm sure they are ment to be better than this (sigh) Think I might just give up and go fly my planes.

thanks guys, i will pick up a kill switch asap. as for the 8000rpm clutch, do i need to buy the entire clutch? or can i just get the 8000rpm springs for the stock clutch? i also read that you can just gut the stock exhaust can, and toss the stinger for more power, does this work? anyone tried it?

My brother just bought me a KM Baja!!
I have had nitro cars for as long as i can remember, and ive been wanting to get into 1/5 scale offroad cars for about 2 years now. After a few failed attempts to save the $$$ to get myself started with 1/5 scale, and recently having to sell all my nitrogear to "pay the bills" i was left with no rc gear at all :(. Today i got an unexpected call from my brother telling me how he just bought a "motor king baja" (lol) off one of his mates, and its for me as an early b'day pressy, im so excited i feel like a kid agn lol. here is a quick pic he sent me: First thing i will add is a tuned pipe (prob x can, or steel hpi), then 8000rpm clutch, and then some decent rear tires.
