RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
So after a big headache with crappy servo's I finally replaced the stock ones with a new one. Servo works great, almost got the car tuned when suddenly the pull start crapped out. I took it all apart and the owb is fine, but seem to have a problem with the pin and spring in the crankshaft. I bought a new one, and now it too is messed up. I am done with this truck. I am going to sell it as is and pick up a Slash 4x4 Brushless. I am not a good fit for Nitro.

RE: HPI Firestorm RTR Junk!
Maybe so SaucerHead, but don't you think losing a servo in the first day of light use warrants some support from the company. There is no reason for them to put cheapo servo's in. I would think it would make sense for them to use good ones, to avoid a bad rep for cheap parts.

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-
I already hate my Firestorm after day one lol. I got through 2 break in tanks and the throttle servo is messed up. It will only operate if I pust on the throttle arm after pulling the trigger on my radio. Now I have to wait for up to 3 weeks for a new servo (which I had to pay for).

HPI Firestorm RTR Junk!
Be cautious purchasing the HPI Firestorm RTR Nitro truck. First of all, my included Glow Igniter is no good. Tried new batteries and all. Borrowed a buddies rechargable one, all was well. Got through two tanks of break in (barely) when the throttle servo went bad. HPI has not responded to my calls or emails and are dodging the problem. For a newcomer to the hobby, I am sure disappointed in my purchase. I had to order a new servo already and have to wait 3 weeks as no hobby shops are nearby. Avoid HPI Products!
