RE: homelite 25cc
thats not a carb that makes the linkage straight.. thats a intake manifold that replaces the stock plastic insulator.. you can find em on e b a y for about 15 bux... The carb you wanna look for is a walbro WT-167A thats a good carb thatll work great on the 25 homie. Jesse

RE: Off Topic...but worth your time
i may be outta line here... but im thinkin i hit the nail on the head with this one. this whole "wtc" thing is gettin SERIOUSLY old... everyone is a hypocryte.... they showed the planes going into the buildings like on a freggin sports instant replay... what if YOU were the father of the daughter falling from the towers.. wouldnt be so happy would ya? Yea we goto war, but what is it gonna solve... lets think about this.. all these dotheads and these morons that "pray to ala" seriously need to learn the meaning of DEPORTATION. but yall still talk to em like there your best buddies.... IF we didnt have those types of "holy war" people in this country, we would not have this problem... another thing, what the hell is this world coming too when you got GROWN men and women aboard a plane and they cant defend themselves against a freggin towel head with a box cutter? common now i mean really... doesnt that make some of you wonder? i dont really talk alot but when it comes to this wtc thing, things just need to be said... yanno we got these idiots running around like saddam.. but guess what, we had NO problems with iraq before desert storm... iraq cant go and try to take over little kuwait (oh god forbid people with lambo's get run outta there house) but its OK if we go invade iraq? see the hypocracy? i mean really.... You got these little bastards running around all over the place in america, living tax free for upteen amount of years, but we? we gotta pick up the slack and get the shaft... they say america is the land of the free? pfft please.. the LITTLE bit of so called freedom that we DO have, WE FOUGHT FOR! yet we hand that freedom to immagrants? when a good friend of mine was killed in desert storm i asked myself these questions... when 2 other friends were inside the pentagon when the wtc stuff happened, i asked myself these questions before..... People say this is the land of opportunity... yea for immagrants, illegal aliens, and drug dealers... but i guess that wasnt on the application you filled out when you were ready to be born... the fact that the president KNEW about the wtc stuff totally amazes me and proves my theroy of government coverups... but remember, we are free... free to know everything they WANT us to know and nothing they dont... until they get called out and them use some lame copout.. anywho im done ranting Jesse

1 knot=1.15 mph so 70 kts would be around 80 mph... almost a definatly hydroplane only territory... doulbe homelites? you aint gonna get much... but its been done.. want some real speed? get a zenoah g260 or 231... or even the superior 29cc motor... 2 of those, turn a huge wheel, and your off to the races homey Jesse

no, we are adults here, and nothing should be sugar coated.. he asked a question, its a open forum, and well thats what happens.. , the response he got. If that is how engineering schools are, where you can scribble things down on crumbled peices of paper, then that would be why engineers mess up more than help. Jesse

RE: Academy Supreme F1 Tunnel Hull. modifications?
something doesnt make sense.. if your going to run a 90 amp esc.. with a 18t motor, thatll normally spike 60 amps on startup.. just doesnt make sense.. how bout this.. take the 18t and do away with it get yourself a 10t or somthin to really spin the prop.. tunnel hulls are designed to "ride the prop" meaning.. the hull essentially rides on air, not in the water... you need somthin thatll seroiusly spin to do that with electric tunnels.. pomp, or steven vaccaro im sure can lead you in the right direction for that. RE: Need your opinion.
What type of boat would be the best for all types of water conditions?I want some thing that will turn lt and rt equally well and at the same time to be fast. Also I would want something that is not a nightmare to set-up. As for a boat manufacture I was looking closely at Aeromarine boats. How does thier sport hydo run.
if you want somthing for all kinds of water conditions, get the hydroplane idea outof your head.. if you have never driven a boat before, get the hydroplane idea outta your head.. if you want somthing to turn equally left or right, you are going to sacrifice speed for that.. and fast and a nightmare to setup are like oil and water.. they dont go together. btw, did you happen to read any of the boat forums here at rcu? or do a search? This question has been asked about 100 times in the past month. Jesse

RE: i wanna get into rc boats ( fast ones )
your using a 1500 mah pack... pickup some gp3300 cells, thatll get it movin for ya.... also 6 hours to charge a pack.. it takes me about 10 minutes to charge a 3000 pack with a tekin 112a @ 5 volts.. i have 6 packs, i just keep swappin em out, takes all of about 2 seconds to do it.. if you want speed, get a rigger... if you want a toy get a mono.. not saying mono's are slow.. just saying if you want balls to the walls speed, get a rigger. monos tho are more forgiving than a rigger, and they are not as fickle in the setup as riggers.. RE: Anybody ever deal with him ?
thats kinda funny.. here latley usps has been screwin up more than UPS... i sent some things via ups to oregon from baltimore... they never showed up.. well never showed up at the address specified... on another board im on, a guy bought a motor, head, and a exhuast (jetski stuff) didnt show up for almost 6 weeks... no fault of the buyer/seller, just usps i guess takes the packages, opens em up for "inspection" then has to do further inspection by playing with whatever was sent... then once they are through with inspection, then they forward it to whereever it was goin... i know it sucks.. but sometimes it happens that way :/ Id call the place you got the MO through and see if it has been cashed... if not, give it some more time, if so, flip the bi*ch switch.. RE: Senior Design Boat (texas a&m)
It takes a senior from texas a/m to design that? no offense dood, but i think i would expect a little more than that from a college senior.. On the otherhand, if you dont want speed or power (you need power btw) ill tell ya how to do it for free... goto walmart, buy a trolling motor, then go make a platform, throw 2 pontoons on it, stick the trolling motor on it with a 12v car battery, snag a linear actuator from your robotics class, get a radio system... whoala done done :p Jesse

RE: Spring has sprung!!
A smoother surface gives up less resistance than a rough one. Although you can run on a rough surface, it just slows you down a bit.
Wrong, its the otherway around... a rough surface allows for less resistance against the water... than a smooth surface. A rough surface allows tiny airbubbles to form along the hulls surface, allowing the skin friction to be broken.. a smooth surface, tends to be "grabby" to water. Jesse

RE: Having trouble with a zenoah
zenoahs like to start @ around 300 rpm.. you gotta really pull the cord to get em to pop when they are cold.. once they pop its not that bad.. Its not a homelite by far so the starting deal is a whole nother sport... try to give it a tiny shot of ether and see if that helps Jesse Acually after re reading what you said and I could only get it running for a split second. It will rev up then die. Makes me think that you got a airleak somewhere, cuz its leaning out and dying. Check your fuel lines for any holes, make sure its primed and isnt getting any air... if thats ok... then ima say check/replace the carb gasket, and do a once over on the insulator.. (the peice between the carb and the jug)... if that doesnt fix it, check/replace the base gasket.... or if you dont wanna do all that and you do infact have a warranty.. then send it back to MS... RE: Im in need
well if you wanna really put it to him, do a straightline run with a rigger... mid 70's is a good expected speed with the right prop and setup... if its a standup ski... then... you can get away with it even with a mono hull (deep vee)... (60's very attainable).... but id say go for the rigger.. depending on how deep your pockets are you can have one in pretty much no time. Jesse
