RE: AFPD Platinum Edition Problems
I must thank you again for your patience in helping me. Nothing better than awesome customer service!!! So, for now, I will just pull the plug half way out and play the sim with my DX7. The cable I ordered via your link, should arrive soon. Dave

RE: AFPD Platinum Edition Problems
OK Mike....I am excited that my problem will be solved with the adapter wire. Thanks for the awesome advice. OK....one more question: What is the small female jack on the inter face cord? Also....do I need to down load a patch or anything? I saw where some guys were asking about it. Not sure why they need it but I am curious. I have a brand new Mac with 8 gigs. Thanks for your time. RE: AFPD Platinum Edition Problems
One more question: Is it possible to purchase the transmitter interface? Will that work also? If there is a part number for that, I would like one of those also. Dave

AFPD Platinum Edition Problems
I purchased the Platinum edition with the interface wire. I use a DX7. I plug the cable in.....it recognizes it....but not the transmitter. I tried a Stereo to Mono adapter....did not work. The only way the transmitter is recognized is to pull the plug almost all the way out. Can you please help me? My MAC is brand new with 8gig. Could I just buy the transmitter interface to replace my cable? Any help would be appreciated. Dave ______________

RE: Speedy Bee from Clancy
Dubro Scale wheels are way too heavy. I have recently found that Kavan makes inflatable super light wheels that work great on my big autogyros along with most of my Bees.... dave

RE: DAG 60 maiden flight
Mario, I was going to reply last night, but I was just way too tired. So....thanks for the kind words on my DAG 60. I too love the scale like flights I get with her. The rebuild went well....but the motor mount had a crack in it....it let loose on a test flight a couple weeks ago. It flew fantastic for a crashed and rebuilt gyro!!![:D] I do need to change the motor mount before I fly her again. Busy on many things....she will have to wait a bit. Dave

RE: Cierva C.30 /Avro Rota model.
Bruce.....I just read through your post again for the LA Heli Cierva C-30. You must use delta wing setting as it is a load sharing set up. Dave

RE: Cierva C.30 /Avro Rota model.
Bruce....what is the issue again??? What model do you have? Listen....this is easy. Delta wing mix is used whan using two servos to control the roll and pitch. This is also refered as load sharing setup. The other set up is just having one servo for pitch and servo for roll. that is when you use just standard fixed wing settings. Hope this helps.....let me know if you need more help? Dave

RE: DAG 60 maiden flight
A lot has happened since I have stopped by. Where to start? OK....first off, one of my RC clubs never allowed autogyros to fly there. I stated my case to the club officers and the owners of the land. They requested a flying demo of my gyros. Well....if any of you know me.....I am all about flying for a crowd!!![:D] So, I did my demo and got the two thumbs up and they requested a second demo before the club meeting and then would vote on allowing autogyros to fly there. They voted yes!!!! Hurray!!! The bad news is I crashed my DAG 60 right before the meeting. Even with a crash....they voted yes. I got seriously disoriented as I was out too far. I have some footage of the DAG flying before the meeting. I did quite a few flights. The wind was wicked and had a 45 degree cross wind. Not easy flying a fixed pitch in conditions like that...but i had to prove that it would fly. Last flight was two days ago. I did not relaize but I had a hairline crack on the motor mount. After flying for a few minutes, the crack turned into a break.[:@] before I could land, the vibration was so bad....it broke apart my radial engine!!! Cylinders were be dropped like bombs! LOL![:)] No worries...just got to make another one...[:D] The good news is it has been rebuilt and please check out the photos and movies below. RE: Taco .25 plans
I think the best for the Taco would be the Irvine .25 I dont know about the .32 My suggestion.....figure out which has the most thrust. I would think the .32 his heavier so you may need to move the battery to a different spot towards the tail? Hope it works for you.... Dave

If you mean the grain of the balsa sheet? Yes, the grain runs the length of the wing. Dave

RE: Lets see those Crazy Pilots
Ok guys, Here is my latest sculpture with custom vaccum mold of Austin Poweres. This is actually my second attempt at doing vaccum molds and I am in love with the process. So...I sculpted Austins head out of sclupy clay. Heated in the oven as per the directions and hardened it. I cut it in half as I needed two halves to glue together. These are the "plugs" to be vaccum formed. Many coats of laquer to make is smooth so the plastic does not stick. I also use a PTFE mold release that works awesome. The body is sculpted out of Crayola Clay and is very lite when it dries...like foam. Then I started the forming process and here are the finished photos.......... Dave PS....the florecent light does not compliment the true purple color I had chosen.... GROOVY BABY!!!![:D]
