RE: X 4.6 weaknesses
Well, you can even the the stock arms and dogbones with those on an xl as it will give the truck a wider stance an therefore improve stability while cornering and if I am not wrong then the stock dogbones of an xl are the HD ones....................Oh!and the dogbones and the cups do squeak/whine due to the metal to metal friction ,it ones made me think that my axle bearings were shot but found it later on...............

What glo plug??!!??!!??
I have reduced the nitro content of my fuel for my xl to 0%,I am currently running on 20% tornado fuel on an os r5 plug. So,would an os No8 plug be fine for the 0% fuel? in case you wanna know, its summer here in India an temps can go as high as 45C and nitro fuel is like $70-$80 per gallon so I decided that it was time to switch........ trophys steering servo
one of my mates recently got in the rc scene seeing my xl and now his trophy 3.5 has come to a grinding halt after a barely 1 feet high jump strepped his steering servo.so here's the deal......Does any company make steel gear conversions for the sf-10w servo(some kit to swap the plastic gears for metal ones)? What is a good replacement servo for the trophy?not an expensive one....but should be strong Thanks, Abhishek Mishra

RE: New HPI 1/8 Gassers
NO DISRESPECT,I think the pics are a little tacky-1 none of he vehicles seem to have an exhaust. 2 In the pic no. 2,3 n 4 there isn't any pressure line coming out of the fuel tank. 3 the savage seems to have the chassis of an xl,tyres n rims of the 2011 X,bumpers of an X and the shocks of the 2011 X Pleas throw some light on ther for me. bumpy rear suspinsion on xl
Hi friends, I have a sav. xl,I am currently experienceing a lil trouble with the way the rear suspension behaves, when I hit a bump(~1"-1.5" high) at moderate speeds the front goes over it pretty decently but the rear wheels jump of the ground ,well I feel that at high speed it can back flip that way and result in crash or loss of control. How can I stop the rear wheels from coming off the ground?Heavier damped fluid/softer springs. What do you reckon?

RE: WHATS BETTER ABOUT ELECTRIC THAN NITRO
my experience has been different,in an electric you would get the same performance as seen anywhere else provided you have the right batt. For example My first car was a pede xl5 it ran out of the box just as shown in the company vids on youtube or anyone who has pede vxl can wheelie and hit 65mph+ just as told or if the hpi vid shows that the savage flux hp does a standing backflip then every dam flux does a double backflip with the correct batt.,but the second 1;the savage xl did run fast and topple over as expected but it didn't wheelie at all while the HPI vid shows it doing wheelies at the begining,it might depend on my engine age fuel or whatever but some people say that their XL wheelied right out of the box while mine doesn't even after 1.5 gallon. It might wheelie afterwards but its just annoying.Well this was my view, but on seeing this in a more genralised form if someone doesn't wanna go deep in to the working, construction and engineering of his power plant then electric suits him right,he just has to get the correct batteries plug 'em and lit it rip.On the other hand when someone is keen to know about the working, construction and engineering of his powerplant then nitro is just the thing for him, once he is through with it(power plant) tuning is you know just as easy as walking, once he gets the hang of the tuning he just figures it out just by listening to it. But if one likes both;the electric and the nitro, then the other factors influence his choise like cost/availability of fuel, place where he plans to run the model and many other factors.

RE: JATO 3.3 OFF ROAD UPGRADES
I feel off road tyres are the first to come and may be lowering the gearing should help prevent overloading the engine and removing the sway bars only if the the terrain is bumpy and needs good amount of suspension travel
