Got a new Mamba max pro sitting here in the box. Got a new tacon 3600kv motor for it already. May order a 5900kv. I'll see how it handles the 3600 first. Got a new 3300 2s lipo also. Already ordered new RPM arms for it. What esle should I get? Just wanted to share

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread
Just putting out a feeler. would anyone be interested in my E10? It would be a roller. No electronics( radio tx rx,esc, motor) I installed the yeah racing steering, center drive shaft, I will include the rear shaft but it's not installed yet. It's got hot racing shock towers on it which allow you to use most 10th scale shocks. I put nitro 4 tec shocks on it. It has a full set of bearings in, plus I will include 8 extra's. I got them from boca bearings. It is new. I never run it. Look at a couple pages back and you will see whenI got it and some pics. I will be looking to get like $130 shipped to the lower 48. I will include the original box and manual. Let me know what you think.

Help, buying a new electric
Hi, I recently got into electric rc. Been doing nitro for 10yrs. 1st I bought a HPI E10 Ford GT (put a brushless set up with lipo already), Then I got a Exceed Max Torque 1/8th scale crawler. Just converted my sons 1/16th slash over to brushless. now I want something I can Bash around in the back yard with. I have been looking at 3 trucks. Which one would you recomend? Please honest opionions .1st one is the HPI E firestorm flux. Next is the AE RC10T4.1 brushless, then is the 1/16 summit brushless. I have been doing a lot of reading on all. They all have there good and bad points. RC10 is the least expenceive, I know the summit is small but it's 4 WD so maybe that would make up for something. There is a ton of hop ups for all. Tell me what you think. Or suggest something else around the $300 range. Thanks for you input.

RE: Installed rear wheel steering
Yeah I was wondering if it would have an effect on it running 2 servo's off the same channel.

RE: Installed rear wheel steering
Thanks, I found a servo reverser module on ebay for $7.99 shipped so I bought it instead of taking the servo apart and resoldering it. Then plugged it into a "y" harness. Works awesome. I need to get a lipo for it, maybe that will help the servo's. I only got the stock nimh on it now.

RE: Good rock crawler for newbies?
I just got the max torque by exceed. it's an 1/8 scale. $159 shipped from nitrorcx.com (found a coupon code online for free shipping) Then I added rear steering to it. See my other post in the crawler thread. Very happy so far. The thing will crawl right up the wall.

Not sure what a dig is.I don't compete,I just like building stuff and bash around my house. Waiting for a servo reverse module. I read I could take the servo apart and rewire but I found a reverser on ebay for $8 shipped so I thought I would give that a try first.[8|]

RE: Buying first nitro, have questions!
Thats probably a good deal. Depends on how good it runs. Does it start easy? Idle good? Idle good when it is completly warmed up? If you got to rebuild the motor then you could have another $50-$70 into it. Just my 2 cents

RE: battery
What kind of speed control did you get? Most I have come across for brushless will handle 2s or 3s. But if yours says 7.2v thats strange. I wouldn't think it would hurt it with 7.4 but I'm not sure.

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread
I got my car going with everything working. I only tested it slightly inside. Making sure the esc was programmed and the radio was working. All I can say is WOW this thing is going to be crazy. I may have to do the fan rewiring myself. I read you can plug it into the 3rd channel of the receiver( if you have 3) instead of resoldering. I am running a 3300 2s 25c I got from hobbypartz. Its the gens ace and it's $20.21.It fits but I need to put some foam under it so it dont move around an touch the drive shaft. But I may go to 3s soon, and need to get more pinion gears. Only have stock 1 at the moment.

Buy an excced mad torque1/8 scale from nitrorcx. $159 shipped (with a free shipping code) Comes RTR with 2.4 ghz radio battery, charger. Try it out. If you like it and want something more then sell it and spend the money for a better one. If you dont like it then your not out a bunch of money. I got 1. I don't compete or anything. Just bought it for fun. Thing crawls over anything I have tried so far. Has 2 axle mounted 540 brushed motors. I'm sure they dont compair to top brands but if it's just to mess around with save ur $$$$$$

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread
Got my ESC all in. Got Deans plugs on it and the battery. Using the bullet plugs that came with the motor for motor connection. Ordered a Thunder AC680 charger, that will be here Fri. I got a 2S/3S charger but I also ordered a 1/8 scale crawler [:)], so i figured I might as well get a charger that will do everything. Also ordered 2 hot racing( I think thats who makes them) shock struts for the E10. They allow you to use most on road shocks. I got a set from my nitro 4 tec. I kind of mocked them up to make sure they would work before I ordered the braces. I think they will. I'll post picks when I get them installed.

I ordered a 60amp ESC and lipo charger. It left there on 6-3 and I got it today 6-9. Yeah it takes a few days extra but if it's something you can wait for, It's worth the saving's. IMO.
