RE: DDM Billet Head Kit
Thanks Kidd for your advise. The 2 engine I have( Zenoah 26cc and CY 29 head engine) are not running and both needs piston, ring and cylinder head. I don't know if it is better to install new kit in Zenoah engine or repair CY 29cc engine and keep crank as spare for it. ANOTHER question please…. If I will use Zenoah Carburetor with CY engine what is the needle setting ? I use to set H needle 1and 1/2 for H. and 1 and 1/4 for low. Shall I keep this setting ?

DDM Billet Head Kit
I got DDM 29cc Billet Head Kit to rebuild my CY 29cc Head engine but I'm thinking to use it with Zenoah 26cc and my questions is: 1- should I replace crank came with kit or I can use Zenoah standard crank and replace piston and cylinder head only. I'm asking because replacing crank is not easy. 2- I can't find mark on the piston guide me to right direction of installing the piston. Is CY is different that Zenoah. 3- Can I use Zenoah stock carburetor with CY 29cc engine. Please I need help.

RE: 29cc or 30.5cc head kits for baja5b
Never owned a 30.5 but my 29cc head kit is pretty damn fast. gets to top speed very quicky!! the 29 has lots of torque
TO; splcrazy I have also 29cc head kit but never works good, I can’t count how many spark plugs I changed, almost 2 every run, and it is extremely difficult to start. I try all possible ways to adjust the carburetor but I Failed. Could please tell me what is your needle setup. The engine came with WT 668 I’m thinking to change it to WT 603 which is standard carburetor for Zenoah 26cc.. I don’t know if this will work? Any advice.

RE: ZERO EXPERIENCE
Thanks for this valuable information but I think 1.5-3 min. is very short running time... is this normal in electric boats or I can get more time with different setup. Please another questions: what is expected speed I will get with Neu 1527/1.5Y and 10S? what is charging time if I will use quality charger? can I charge them as soon as they get boat from water or I should leave then until they achieve normal temp.? can I use many packs one after one other or motor will be damage.

Thanks Silent-AV8R …. I’m leaving in France and I don’t know if Lipo shipped airfreight or not because in tower hobbies they mentioned ( Flammable, cannot be shipped via Air ) I believe I will force to buy them from France where coast will be double USA but the real problem there is no 8 or 10 S batteries in Paris , I checked today with some shops , they have up to 4S -14.8V 3300mAh… I don’t know if I can use 2X4S connected to each other to get 8S or not. Any help please

RE: ZERO EXPERIENCE
Thanks gentlemen for sharing my post but Ryan …. I can’t understand what do you mean by (At over 60 000 RPM, magnets can be tossed) do you mean that engine will rev at 60000 RPM? And Ozzie what do mean by (i run a 6xl 2800kv motor on 4s 2p) … excuse my ignorance about electric models. Please… I need advise for the best setup for 100cm boat within my budget 2000 to 2200 $. Maybe my bugject will not be enough to get speedy boat but I can’t run small hull because water in my area is choppy.

RE: ZERO EXPERIENCE
Thanks for your support ....I think http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=TP-Jolly could be a good choice and I saw clip for this hull with the following setup Motor: Neu 1521/1D Batts: Two Thunder Power 6S 4500 Mah prop: GrimRacer L45x68 Lifter ESC: Jeti spin200 Speed was 64 mph and acceleration was impressive as soon as boat plane but boat takes some time to be flat on water. I think boat is overpowered and this setup is very expensive… do you think the same.

RE: ZERO EXPERIENCE
Thanks Ryan for your advise and for the liks your sent me specially www.offshoreelectrics.com . I believe my budget could fit for hull, hardware, motor and ESC but the most expressive item will be batteries do you think the http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=df-delta41 and http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=TP-Jolly will need same motor and batteries ? Another 3 question please… 1- why electric motor are so expensive ? one motor more expensive than modified petrol engine. 2- I can’t understand figures about rpm they mentioned ( winds/rpm: 1.5Y 1020KV) what they mean by this numbers. 3- what could happen if boat flip, all electronics will damage or they are water proof. Thanks in advance

ZERO EXPERIENCE
Hi Gentlemen Although I’m in gas models long time I go, I would like to try electric boat after a saw some clips in www.e.powerboat.de but my experience about electric boats is zero and I don’t know what could be better mono or cat hull, which motor. ESC are good ect… . I’m looking for 110cm length with fast motor ( really fast) . my budget is 2000 $. During searching I found the attached hull ( 110 cm ) which made by RCMK.... I think this could be a good boat if right hardware, motor ect… installed . I’m living in France and I can order from Europe or USA. Please any advice will highly appreciated.

Hardware looks with good quality but prices are unknown and they don’t have distributor in France. I know friends having Flying Dragon hull and they are race with it but with different hardware and engine, they are doing well. Fighter looks nice and price very good compared with price existing in French market… I think with 35cc engine it can fly

RE: Bad luck
I’m a little confused, 1 on the high 2 1/2 on the low or 1 on the high 2 on the low, and I believe opinions regarding durability not performance… I replaced 644 with 257 because I through 257 gives better acceleration and now I’m thinking about 813 because I saw many racers using them and tune at 1 ½ Low and 1 1/4 high then how 257 and 813 are them?

RE: Bad luck
Thanks very much gentlemen …. In France they are selling stock Zenoah with 644 and replace carburetor after 3 weeks because I was thinking it will gives better performance accordingly I can’t judge about durability of 644… the problem I faced because I tuned 257 same as 644 but thanks to martno1fan and stoddy , I tuned 257 and engine working good. I heard from French racers whom they are using top end racing engines and sometimes they practicing with stock Zenoah that WT 813 is better than 644 -257, it gives better acceleration and they are using them on stock and modified engines, also they are using champion RZ7C plugs and they never use NGK normal or Iridium spark plugs although I read many post recommended NGK. I’m think to order WT 813 and give a try.

RE: Bad luck
Thanks gentlemen, I tuned carburetor 2 turns for low and one turn for H... engine working perfectly but I didn’t try full throttle because I was worry since I read posts about carburetor starvation at high speed with water pump fittings in the carburetor. Shall I open L needle a bit to permit more fuel OR no problem. Also I would like to know if there is big difference between stock Zenoah carburetor, WT 257 and WT 813 and why better to replace stock carburetor by 257 or 813

Bad luck
I think I don’t have luck with boats.. every time I try to improve my boat it get worth…. I bought new Zenoah 26cc, I install it and run it with no problem then I decided to make some modification then I changed the carburetor to 257, Installed clutch and Walbro water pump, change all cooling tubes , water pickups and new fuel take with screw cap instead to Sullivan Tank. Today I give it a try, engine start after 3 pulls thanks to advise from stoddy and Paul M whom they direct me how to start engine in absence of primer bulb. But the engine lost power completely and what ever throttle I put the boat move 5 mph, I played a lot with carburetor needles but no way, I checked fuel tank and I closed the return fuel tube but no success also, 1- I made plus fitting exactly as Justaddwata post ( http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6189449/anchors_6189449/mpage_1/key_Water%252Cpump/anchor/tm.htm# ) and I manage to do it perfectly. 2- I used Tygon tube ( length 16’) to connect pulse fitting to water pump. 3- The engine ideal very good. 4- Water mump and new water pickups working excellent because water came out outlets as fountain. 5- I played ignorance with carburetor needles because I don’t have factory setting. But I start with 1 ½ for H and 1 ¼ for L. long time I read post about pulse fitting and carburetor setting also about ventilation of screw cap fuel tanks but I can’t remember where and I don’t know what happen… can anyone help me please? I’m really depressed

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Thanks Chris for your comment, I didn’t mentioned retouching by Photoshop to harming your product, they really looks nice scaled models and many modelers in France like this hull, also estimated prices are very competitive compared with prices in France. What about engine rails and mount are they compatible with Zenoah engines? although most modelers wishing a fast boats, I believe driving this scaled models under any speed is a pleasure by itself. Good luck and keep posting.

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Boats looks very attractive but in video looks slow, I hope they will looks same as picture because I notice a lot of Photoshop editing in all pictures…. It is obvious in latest pictures in the lake because it is impossible for hatch ventilators to reflect on mirror water
