RE: Nuance
Thanks Tony any Chip for all your inputs. I guess I will just continue to fly and trim my Nuance until I feel totally comfortable with it. It is a fantastic plane for sure and presents very well. I did remove and reinstall the motor as well as swap the rudder servo for a new one. I flew yesterday day the wind was to strong for me to conclude that the throttle to rudder mix was gone but I am sure that the plane did require less throttle to rudder mix, if any.

RE: Nuance
Hi Shannah. I do suspect you are correct and I may have too much right thrust. I did not yet add any shims because I wanted to hear from you guys who are also flying Nuances about your experience with the plane. With the rudder centered, the plane does veer to the right both on uplines and level flight. When the rudder is trimmed for hands off horizontal flight at half throttle, the plane veers to the right when the throttle is cut and slightly to the left in uplines. BJ Park suggests using upthrust and downthrust to correct for yaw in trimming so I will probably take hs advice based on his notes about the Nuance.i

RE: Nuance
Hi Guys. I have about 25 flights on my Nuance and am noticing that I need a throttle to left rudder mix. I also have a small low throttle to right aileron mix for dowlines as the planes tends to roll left in downlines. I also have the usual low throttle to down elevator mix. I have been following Bryan Herbert's trimming method. My CG is now about 280mm or so and my wing incidence is about .6-,7 degrees positive. I seem to be carrying a few clicks of left rudder trim even at mid throttle. Any ideas to get rid of the throttle to rudder mix? I am using a Hacker C50 14xi with a Falcon 20.5x14.4 v2 prop. Thanks

RE: T7C low battery warning while in
Krysta or Bax, any answer to my question? I am waiting on your answer before I place my order from Tower Hobbies. I don't want to buy this if I am not sure it works. I am teaching my 67 year old father to fly but could not get a trainer cord to work with a 12z as teacher and 9CAP as student because the 9CAP would emit the low battery warning. Hope you can clear up this simple question for me. Thanks.

RE: Buddy Box Question
ORIGINAL: Bax You connect the two transmitters with the trainer cord, but do not turn on the student transmitter.
Yes, that is what I did and the 9CAP turned on when I turned on the 12mz but the low battery warning of the 9 cap kept beeping. How do I stop it from beeping? Does the 9cap get power from its own battery or from the lower voltage battery of the 12mz? Thanks.

Buddy Box Question
Hi. I would like to use a trainer cord to teach my son how to fly. I am trying to use my 12MZ as the teachers transmitter connected to a 9CAP as the students transmitter. Is this possible? When I turn my 12mz on, the 9cap turns on as well but I get the low battery warning beeps. Can this be resolved or is it not possible to use the 12mz to cord a 9cap? Thanks

Buy a Futaba 2.4ghz radio and use Orange brand receiver ($28 each) from Hobby King as your extra receiver. Just my 2 cents worth.

RE: Futaba Faast RX Hobby King?
I have an Orange receiver in an old Focus 2 pattern ship converted to electric with a turnigy motor and ESC using 4 Futaba 9 series coreless servos. A cheap setup that works fine even at long range. No problems so far.

RE: P13 Reverse Spins
Same issue here. What has worked for me is to reduce elevator input to almost zero very briefly when you reverse directions before going back to the regular spin rate throws. It is not easy to be consistent using this method though.

RE: Toxiris
It is suppose to clean up the airflow over the tail surfaces to give positive control even at very slow airspeed. I honestly don't know if it works but the plane is very easy to slow down and can be flown slower than most. I am quite happy with mine.

RE: Prop for Neptuno?
Yes, a 20.5 x 14 would work great and that would be about the biggest prop the Scorpion motor can take, in my experience. An APC 20x15 would work also and you can always trim the 20.5 x 14 to 20x14. These should all work for windy days.

I lost a plane recently because of a Zippy rx pack that read ok on the Futaba BR3000 battery checker but failed under a 1 amp load using the older Futaba BR2000 battery checker. The Turnigy and Rhino packs seem to be holding up well though. Never again will I use Zippy batts and I now use both Futaba battery checkers for checking my rx batts. A very expensive lesson learned. Just my 2 cents worth.

I now have 12 flights on my Toxiris and it is flying very, very well. Am almost done with trimming it. My CG is 210mm from the leading edge at the root. For some reason, this plane flies much better than my first one. Now all I need is practice, lots of it. I am one happy camper...

Hi Bob. Can you elaborate on how the Sky 4400 40c lipos differ from the Rhino 4900mah lipos in performance? I am curious as to the differences between both in flight time, punch and throttle curve. I am using and love the Rhinos but wondering if a 35c or higher rated batt would be better or would it just make the throttle more difficult to manage. Thanks
