I want to say thanks alot guy's,for the info you provided, today i put it on the test stand, using sig 10%nitro fuel, a enya nva, a sig R/C 003 glow plug and with pressure with snow starting to fall she fired right up on three flips, and she is running good in all positions, it has never sounded so good. Now to mount it back into a plane. Will let you know how it works out. thanks again. What makes a kit a 1/2A model, size of plane or size of engine.I see the 1/2A pathfinder has a wing span of 35". It's as big as my akromaster.

If a person doesn't have a balancer, is there something that you can make that will do the job? I have purchased some sig champion 10% nitro. And will add some more castor.

Jim Thomerson why did you make this statement. ( I would not advise a new flier to buy a Fox stunt 35 for a first CL engine. )

RE: Fox 35 stunt eng setup issues
Ok, I have these old engines Fox 35,19,15 and a Macoy .35 redhead, and money is alittle tight, or i would have went with the newer engines of today. So this is why i'm asking so many questions, i should be able to get these engines to perform well enough for the flying i will be doing out at the ball field. ALSO IS THE FOX MIRACLE PLUG WORTH USING? WHAT IS THE HEMI HEAD, WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE HEMI HEAD, THAT IMPROVES THE PERFORMANCE.

RE: Fox 35 stunt eng setup issues
Hossfly,da Rock & George, Ok guy's let's talk fuel, i don't have access to wildcat fuels.I do have access to Byron fuels, that is 20% total oil content blend, 5% or 10% nitro if i used one of these and added 4oz of castor to a gallon, would this be ok fuel to use? Engine is used but should i go through a breakin process any way? And what process should i use? Do i use a 9x6 prop to do this? Hossfly you mention using a glow plug with adle bar, i thought the idle bar GP was for RC type engines. Also just confirming it does take the long plug correct.Does the brand of GP make a big difference? And you say i should be using a Hot plug.I do have a enya needle valve assy that is for the enya .35 so i should use that correct. Da Rock, on needle setting when i go to fly should i set it so it is just breaking in and out of the 4-2 cycle, or should it be in just the 4 cycle mode on the ground? George, it is a profile and it is a used eng don't know it's history but looks to be in good shape compression seems good no sloop in crank shaft area or connecting rod.I will probably do a breakin just to be sure. You mention the Fox burp, can you tell me how i would know if this is happening. All i know now is, that any time i try to go inverted it stops. What should i look for to know if it is having that fox burp. Thanks guy's.

Thanks for responding, I have some c/l scratch built planes i fly one is a 32" w/s with a fox .15 that uses a 8x4 prop.Just wanted to know size of plane you posted to compare to this c/l .15 powered i fly. You say that the latest motor i posted is to big, you say to look for a 1100 to 1500 kv.I'm alittle confused now, my original posted i ask about a motor with 2200kv and was told it was to small for the aplication i was wanting to use it for.Confused
