RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP
Wow! Many hours of hover time since installing the GWS DD Tail and the motor is still going strong even with the G90 gyro! I was LUCK to get an hour of use with the old eflite motor! Love it!

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP
you are so right... the gyro is what eats the motors... today I replace my tail motor with a GWS direct drive.. what a difference! it is fantastic... the only glitching that occurs now is when the antenna is pointed at the bird. I will let you know haw the life is on the motor.

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP
I go through tail rotor motors like kleenex (~2-3 hours/motor). I am using a g90 gyro. Does anyone else go through at this rate? Interesting enough, I am starting to see that my 'glitching' problem starts up a flight or two before the motor goes bad. Finally I am seeing a correlation! Perhaps the brushes start arcing so bad and it is running at full current to maintain position that the noise overloads the filter caps and transfers to the 3-in-one? anyone else see the same effect? Jordan

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP
I'm so frustrated! After much sim time and may hours of stick time since Christmas, I can now hover with reasonable control through a battery... The frustration come from trying to increase altitude to ~5 feet the servos start glitching causing the the copter to instantaneously hop up a foot or two then back down rattling my nerves and making it VERY difficult to control. I have tried to make sure that the x-mitter antenna is vertical which helps a bit but not completely.... trying to see if it need to be sent back to Horizon... any experience or suggestions? Jordan

RE: Blade CX-2
C5, I too set up my blade with a camera. I built a y-harness using new 'js't connectors to tap off the existing lipo. What I found was that there was so much motor 'noise' on the battery that the video image was completely washed out. I wend back to isolating the camera with a seperate battery. I found a nice light 420mah lipo that fits the bill. ~1/2 the weight of the 9v (which I tried too). I just velcro's this under the main lipo. It is still to heavy for my liking. I have not played around with 'filtering' the noise with caps yet. I'd love to know if anyone else had this issue and was able to solve it...? Jordan p.s. still looking for a description of the functions of the various switches on the dip switch under the cover in front?? Servo reversing? Programming?

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club
Maidened the pulse today! No trim needed! smooth loops... nice axial rolls and beautiful landings even with 10mph gusts! Thid ed donr by my 10yo son. I flew a bit when it was up. Looking forward to a calm day when I can take it up! Nothing like 10yo eyesight and video game reflexes! What a gorgeous plane! Jordan

I just recieved and built my pulse.... question--when running up the motot on my bench, the prop wash really caused the elevator/horizontal stabilizer to oscilate badly... screws are tight! Has anyone seen this? Did you add shim to tighten the assembly? does it affect the flying? Jordan

My new pulse arrived today but I am not allowed to open it until next week (bday). In the meantime, can anyone recommend a good model on G3.5 sim (including expansion pack 2) that flys like the pulse? I have a few days to 'get ready!' thanks in advance! Jordan

I ordered the pnp and will be flying it with a 6 channel spectrum radio. Jordan

pop off the ball linkage from the swash and tighten or loosen it on the metal servo link to shorten or lenthen the link as needed. Jordan

The other thing worth checking is that the pins are in the slots of the swash plate actuators.... I had this happen when I reattached the servos to the swash and forgot to engage the guide pins... Jordan

RE: Blade CX-2
A blade strike is an effect where, during certain maneuvers (radical at times) the upper blade, when trying to compensate for aircraft attitude, combined with the tilt (due to command input) of the lower blade tend to take up the same point of space in time... ie, they will hit each other while going in opposite directions. This typically leads to a broken, chipped, or cracked blade (or two) and most often ends up with the craft falling out of the sky rapidly due to the fact that both rotors have abruptly stopped... You'll know it when it happens!!

RE: Blade CX-2
What's odd is that he claims to be getting the yaw from the aileron control not the rudder...? On my rudder, I get a much faster spin in one direction thatn the other due to imballance of max motor power for one of the motors... I confirmed this by replacing the motors.

Neitl6, sounds like one of the gears in the servo has broken a tooth! I have had this hppen to me with my airplane servos. E-flite sells a replacement gear set (EFLRS601, $2.99). Sounds like one of the crashes with the blade stationary may have popped the tooth. Jordan
