RE: 42% Super Decathlon Build
Tony - Our Decathlon was a fun build and a wonderful flyer. Wood quality was the best we have seen. The laser work, fit and alignment was dead on. Very easy to build a straight airframe. I was talking when I shouldn't have been and claimed that this would be the first truly "no trim" airplane. We were within two cliks of elevator trim of succeeding. Michel and Dany are very easy to work with and very helpful. We had a gentleman in KC do an instrument panel which was truly a work of art. Go for it! Jack

RE: Air Tractor 23%
We have completed the fuselage to the point that all alignment is completed. I have to commend AMR's staff for a job well done. The fuselage is very complicated but was a dream to build. The part fit was excellent and the final alignment was absolutely perfect. Congratulations to all for a job well done! Will attempt ot download pictures in next post. Jack

RE: 38% Wedell-Williams Model 44 Racer
Hi Just starting to frame the fuse. Am curious about balance as I would rather make provisions now rather thyan the day before the maiden. I am planning to use a RCS 250, stits and paint. Will I need nose weight? Do I need access to the empty space behind the firewall? Thanks Jack

At what point onthe vertical fin does the flair or fillet start? All of the pictures we have do not have enough detail to determine where the sides of the vertical fin cease to be vertical and begin to flare to the fuselage side. Thanks Jack

Marcus Really a great looking airplane. Do you have any pictures showing the top of the fuse between the wings? A second question, how did you attach the fiberglass piece on the top of the front section of the fuselage? Really nice looking! Should fly wonderfull. Jack

Good Morning I am on the road and cannot take pictures but will when I get back at the end of next week. Mains are an easy install, nose a little more work but not tough. Compared to the early gear clearly worth the money and the effort. Have Evolution 26's for power and am very satisfied with that setup. Jack

If you go to a pipe insulating contractor or refrigeration supply house or contractor you can get any size of armaflex (insulation) you want, both ID and wall thickness, much better than the hardware store. My real job is a mechanical contractor. Just FYI. Jack

I found prefinishd hardwood floor on sale at Home Depot for $35, looks like a NASCAR trailer. Used 3/4" x 1 1/2" unistrut rails on sides, one at 6" above floor and the other midway so I can move cross members very easily. Also 3/4" conduit rail at top to hang wings from. Bulkhead at front for boxes etc. Be creative, Jack
