RE: truggy pics.........
well they are a little large, but hey I don't race...maximizer truggy beadlocks with dirtbonz tires. They have a wider offset than stock and the tires are almost the same width as the rtr tires. Notice the nubzs int the right rear of the picture...only @ 3/4 the size. Sweet pics of the cen!! Can we say indo?

RE: HPI Big Bore Shocks
Btw those measurements on the HF SS are for the rear shocks, they have a longer shock shaft than the fronts. Okay that was stupid they are the same length.

RE: HPI Big Bore Shocks
hf ss shock on truck are about 143mm long---savage (stock) installed are @ 153mm, the 10mm difference raises some eyebrows but what is the difference between the lst shocks and other "upgrade shocks" than stock? Anyways the shorter length should not matter much since a popular mod is to restict the shock (stock shocks) with fuel tubeing (@ 1.0" which = 10mm) inside the assembly to help make the dogbones level with the suspension arms....not to mention if your running adjustable shock towers or modding hf ss shock towers to fit. In the pick on the web site notice that------both------spacers are installed.

RE: HPI Big Bore Shocks
My HF SS shockspacers are pretty big...stock savage spacers are 10mm...HF SS are biggest--10mm, 5mm, and then 2.5mm (smallest ones are a gues since I can't find where I missedplaced my parts tree).

HPI Big Bore Shocks
I was checking out these shocks on the HPI web site and relized they look just like my stock shocks on my Hellfire SS. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/a720/ Now that I looked over my HF SS I am pretty much convinced that they are the same and you can get threaded shock bodies from hotracing.com under the hellfire section (not to mention find them on ebay...ect.) But then again I could be wrong since I'm not gonna spend $125.00 for 4 shocks just to compare them. Has anyone got them yet and have access to a HF SS to compare? And with the HF SS you can tune the shocks with different piston sets...opps just realized the savage big bore set comes with the same pistons.....hmm, seems to be resale/repackageing of HF SS parts, since they pretty much don't list the Hellfire anymore on they're web site (corection---well the ss at least).

RE: Best Truggy for $400 or below???
I have the hellfire ss kit and love bashing it. I dont race at all, but I upgraded the ft and r diff to the hot bodies lsp pro diff--(spiral cut hd ring and pinion) and used the savage x ss alum. diff houseings, for the center diff I just replaced the stock houseing with the x ss alum.---to make the x-ss houseings/diff cup work you have to replace the outdrive bearing on the diff cup. I have about 1.5 gallons on this mod and the difffs still run ultra smooth and don't leak at all. BTW Tower Hobbies had the hellfire ss kit (without motor) on sale for $249.00 (they where cleareing out old stock makeing room for the new kit with motor) awhile back and I couldn't turn it down espically when you have that $25.00 off cupon code too!!!! The only gripe that I have is it stears tighter one way than the other, besides that it is pretty sweet!

RE: Diesel
@ $169.00 for the kit. (that is what he quoted me for my axial28 in a e-mail...only way to get priceing) The kit is just a new head for your motor and then the fuel is still @ $30.00 a gallon.

RE: diesel conversion for nitro motors is it worth it?
you buy a conversion head from that web site and then you have to buy fuel, as far as I can tell....the site e-mailedme back and said $169.00 for the axial 28but that sounds really high considering I bought the complete axial 28 for $115.00 shiped

I run this in 2 of my savages and have no problems yet and can't beat the price for 195oz! This is the same as the Mamoth ST servo which has been complimented in several reviews for haveing an extremely strong st. servo! http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/440704.asp

RE: redcat racing tsunami???
I still have a redcat volcano 1/10 truck under my work bench in pieces and a drawer full of spare parts in sealed bags, it got me into the hobby---but I decided to step up to better quality trucks that I would not have to sink a lot of time wrenching on them due to inferior parts quality. Before anyone rips me, I will say this...because of that truck I'm in the hobby and now have several kits and custom rebuilds under my belt so the wrench time didn't scare me...it was jumping a curb and breaking half the plastics on the truck and then realizeing that I have spent what a higher end truck would have cost me.

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
Get a can of WD40 and spray a base of carb and back plate carb needles. If engine rev's higher than that would mean that there is an engine leak... Test each place seperately.( Motor must be running obvioulsly)

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
I would try to reset the carb opening to @1mm, and check the 3rd needle on the same side as the high speed needle (right below it in the houseing) and see if it is flush. Check for air leaks at back plate and carb--needles and base of brass fitting on the high speed needle. That is where I found a large air leak on my axial 28

blew up the rear diff (spider gears) today while running about a half gallon at the track. I should have took it easy and broke in the gears, but then again it seems my mesh was off a little anyways. Any suggestions on a hardened gear setup? Koyosho? Hot Bodies? Mugen? Has anyone tried them with sucess?

Thanks man! Actually it is flourescent orange with a heavy backing (fade to rear) of metalic red then backed with indy silver to give it a deep orange/red metalic flake in front and a bright orange matalic in the rear, with metalic red faded into flourescent yellow flames, looks alot better in person with better light. I messed up on the front window though...thats what you get with spray cans and only the 4th body I've ever painted.
