RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD
I ran the surefire .32 on my savage x and it was a hoss..... It only advertises 38,000 rpm's so I'll prolly have to re-gear the sp2 to get any top-end.... but stock gearing with that motor will be impressive acceleration..... the savage would pop a wheelie when it hit second gear..... :)

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
theddy sounds like the 43t and 13t bevel gears in the diff case ..... prolly blew out the bearing that sets in the bulkhead case which lets the gears bounce around freely!!!

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
my truckzilla extended chassis moves the shocks away from the tank like 1.2 inches....... I'd think doing the type of jumps I do, I'd crush the aluminum guard into the side of the tank....

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
cheese in my opinion the best 2 upgrades i did was the robinson racing steel spur and the aluminum gas tank..... but hey I've been driving the last month with no brakes period!!! In my opinion the truck is still drivable without brakes but your screwed if your spur blows out or if your gas tank busts!!!!

the walmart subs are great for the price!!!! max power on a sub is just for surges.... the rms power is the actual amount of watts you can put to it!

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
yea the reverse is creepy lolol.... hopefully i'll get an even bigger badder vid this weekend..... that was with my stock x motor..... i should be able to get a whole lot more air with the surefire .32 , lot more control to..... we're planning on building a ramp 5 ft. high and 8ft. wide..... so jumping houses and whatnot wont be out of the picture [:-]

yea ash i slapped those braces on mine to and they ROCK!!! not only are they tough.... they look mean as @@@@ you should think about getting a longer chassis.... i got one with a truckzilla kit and it rocks... it has way more air control and high speed control.... i really want that fastlane extended lcg 4.75mm one now!!!!!!

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
yea i think ash's are like 4.75 mm thick but standard length and motor height.... fastlane has some that are 4.75 mm thick , extended length , and lower center of gravity

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
the tires are just ballooning out because i had it full throttle so I could land the backflip! the rims actually look smaller but i think thats an optical illusion.... the reason the front wheels arent ballooned is because i destroyed my differential and was only running rear wheel drive

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
the stock is metal..... since i've upgraded to the rr spur combo i havent had any problems.... my shaft is actually bent a tad.... i have some wobble but it doesnt seem to matter with the steel spur...... BUT I did finally strip one out ... that was also after i dropped in the surefire.32 MWUAHAHAHA [:-].... hmmmm I'm not sure any of that made sense???? LOL... oh well ... I think what I'm tryin to say is im fine with the stock shaft.... [:D]
