RE: how to make my savage x wider ?
all you need is one set of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-HPI-Savage-XL-HEAVY-DUTY-WIDE-DRIVE-AXLES-SHAFTS-/310425872831?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4846d2e9bf#ht_785wt_1031 and you shoul be fine as long as you have the thicker shafts check in your manual to check the part no to make sure

RE: how to make my savage x wider ?
hi you could use xl axle shafts as they are longer and but you also need to change the dogbones and the dive shafts as the dog bones are thicker. But if its a newer x it should already have the beefier shafts so will only need the axle shafts

body shells
Does anyone know of a good 200mm body shell. I have an original hpi shell and i like the style of it but is is thin lexen I also have a proline ford shell which is thicker lexen but is only around 170mm wide. So i am after something with the thickness of the proline but the width of the hpi woud prefer a pick-up style shell the only thing i can find is the ofna 37813 but not sure of the thickness any sugestions welcome Thanks Andy

RE: Savage arms on xl
yes there are all the same size apart from the xs to go xl width you need the extended drive shafts but you will need to convert to the larger diameter dogbones and bigger drive cups on the diffs hope this helps

RE: Lrp 28 vs picco 28
You won't go wrong with the schumacher picco had about 3 liters through mine now still not touched the needles starts first time every time so far. It is a wheelie machine but i have the traxxas wheelie bar and put it on the low setting to keep the wheels down

RE: picco schumacher
Just back from a weeks holiday , I took my savage with me {the girlfriend was not to happy}. I am so pleased with the picco turbo, I ran 2 x 200cc tanks of hpi 20% fuel while sitting on a stand then the rest of the 1 litre bottle of hpi fuel just doing a little driving on a field up to 1/3 throttle. Then i started using my 30%byrons fuel this is by far the best engine i have owned this thing is a rocket have not touched the needles yet. Never had an issue starting it not even at break in, never died either during break in thanks sparky 25
