RCU boots Stingerman,to late for me
Stingerman, real name John Marshall of Bronson Mi.Took me for 160.00. After 3 months of trying to get my money back I filed a complaint against him,in return he now told me I will never get my money back.I knew I was in trouble when about a month ago RCU suspended him because he took 500.00 for a heli, and the buyer never recieved it.Look it up.I'm being real public about this because this is the only way we can protect ourselves. P.S.John says there are nothing but losers on RCU.

RE: Laddie M's Arrow - 2nd Attempt
Mustang, When I say underpowered,I wish it would be as nimble as original size.It loops and rolls, vertical is marginal. It probably tops out at 60 to 70 mph.All that said, its very impressive in the air,it really draws a crowd. The airfoil is the original scaled up-4' thick at center. If I built another one I would use the Arrow airfoil,30%thinner. Build the 150% Arrow,I don't know of any.Jeffo

Mustang Just find a Staples/Kinkos/Office Max type store. They can enlarge to any percentage. That's where I took my plans. When I took them to my flying field, the guys started laughing, and said it would be difficult to build.Look at the first thread on the Arrow,my pic is in the twenties I think.=Jeffo

RE: Laddie M's Arrow - 2nd Attempt
Mustang- Do not go lite on power. If you do decide to build a 150% Arrow, put at least 1.60 O.S.Max.I have built 150% Northstar and I have a O.S.1.60 engine, and power is marginal.I was told to put a Moki 2.10,but thought it was to much tail weight, now I wonder if I should of.(not enough prop clearance.)I know of 3 Northstars-1 at 32 pounds,1 at 26 pounds, and mine at 19.5 pounds.I had to add 2 pounds in nose.My Northstar is the most stable plane I ever flew. I've built the Arrow and flown it.Flys great. The problem I have is the bay I fly off of usually has a 6" chop with rolling swells.I am considering building a 130% Arrow with a 1.60 engine with some kind of a tip float.Jeffo

RE: Mariner 1.20
Cruz, Evan is correct,I have a Saito 180 on mine and it is a little over powered.I prefer Solartex on seaplanes, because you dope up the fuse with Balsarite fabric formula[2 parts acetone 1 part balsarite].Then seal the outside of the fabric with a clear coat of choice.Jeff

RE: Northstar mods - Tell me what you think
The engine of choice in my club is the O.S 55AX.You want the most power at the least amount of weight.A lot of guys put the fuel tank on the C.G. and you can balance it close to the step.Jim Casey has a lot of mods on the Arrow thread-very helpful.-Jeffo

RE: Seamaster 120 build
I'm pretty sure they use plywood. As for power I've seen guys use up to Moki 2.1 and S.T.3250.I use a moki 1.35,nice combo.I probably would stay away from gas, with that single post pylon may not handle it.There was a lot of twanging on those pylons with those Moki 2.1 & S.T.-Jeffo

I've got one and I really don't like it.I have a Saito 180 in it,and I litterally have to fly it off the water.I scratch built a seamaster clone and it doesn"t even come close.I don't like knocking planes, but you might be disapointed.Jeffo

Seamasters fly awsome,I compare there flight characteristics to a four star sixty.I suppose you can put a .60 engine on it,you might have to use some throttle management.-Jeffo

Carlos is correct, but since the thrust line is way above the airfoil, even 0* is O.K. Just put washers between motor mnt. & firewall on one side.I'm assuming the 3/8" was measured from tip of prop to end of fuse.-Jeffo
