RE: help trying to take off a Corsair with bigger motor...
very true... i wasn't sure how the prop would respond to me taking a drill to it... i thought about using something else to go between the space and tighten it up for me... i'm gonna try to come up with a 'fix' before i head out to buy another set of props...

RE: help trying to take off a Corsair with bigger motor...
i figured out what the issues is... the prop doesn't fit... the prop isn't resting on the collet so its not pushing it down to lock it on the shaft... i thought i had the right size prop and now i don't know what to buy... but at least i know what the problem is.

RE: help trying to take off a Corsair with bigger motor...
cool... thanks for the tip... i'm gonna go check that out now and see what i come up with.... the only thing i noticed before was one edge that was cut away on the shaft but it didn't seem like the collet was meant to line up with it in any way... i shall return...

so forgive my ignorance but i just got my power 10 in and i'm faced with the challenge of simple connecting the motor shaft to the motor... how do you secure this thing on... i thought just putting the propeller on would tighten it down but that isn't doing it... please help me out...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
ORIGINAL: wxup The chartpak sheets are clear peel and stick sheets. I've tried these in the past and the ink was not thick enough to be non-transparent i.e. when putting a red decal on a black model the decal would all but disappear. How do you get the ink thick enough to work?
the first thing is to make sure that the printer and paper match... for example if you have paper that says its for a laser printer make sure that you use a laser printer because if not the image won't hold to the paper correctly... mine came out okay although i am looking for a little more color from it... but i printed it on the copier printer at work so i didn't really expect much... the blacks look great though...
ORIGINAL: wxup Jerseyflyer and Dai Phan: You both mentioned making your own decals. I have tried this in the past and haven't had much luck. I bought some water transfer printer paper at the local hobby store and printed a decal. But the ink was so transparent that when I applied it to the plane it all but disappeared. If you have any tips on how to do this better I would appreicate

RE: help trying to take off a Corsair with bigger motor...
yeah i'm facing that situation now... i attempted an unintentional inverted nose dive landing and amazingly enough i bent the motor shaft!!! anyway... i can't figure out how to get the thing out either so i'm just trying to replace the motor all together... i guess i can move over to the power ten knowing that if i'm forced into another crazy landing i can change the necessary parts rather than replacing everything... cheers to $150 (motor and esc) to get a $200 plane flying again... :) thanks for the info...

RE: help trying to take off a Corsair with bigger motor...
so i got my 480 in yesterday and its gonna take more modification than i care to do to get this thing to fit... i think i'm gonna hold on to the 480 for my sea fury that i'm building toward for next year... but now i need to know if the power 10 is a direct swap for the stock motor and how much of a difference are you seeing with it over the stock???

whats your favorite plane?
so i guess i'm still a little new the the hobby cause i just started flying this summer... i won a piece of crap a10, a parkzone t28, and a parkzone f4u corsair... i'm working on a eflite hawker sea fury for next spring... my favorite is my corsair right now... just a sweet plane, flies great, looks great... i'm also putting an eflite 480 motor in with an apc 11x8 prop this week... the question is this: What is you're favorite rc plane regardless of type or build? and maybe is there a plane out there that you've wanted to get that you haven't gotten you're hands on yet.... should be real interesting to know everybodies interests are...
