RE: Operating different brand Rx's in same jet
this is from the spektrum operators manual: Spektrum™ telemetry technology makes it possible for you to get real-time information on your model's battery voltage, motor rpm, motor temperature and more. Many Spektrum transmitters feature built-in telemetry data receivers that let you view this information on their LCD screens. You also have the option of monitoring telemetry using the Spektrum STi™ app for the Apple® iPad®, iPhone® or iPod touch®. Spektrum is releasing new telemetry sensors and accessories all the time. To give you a feel for what a difference Spektrum telemetry can make, here are some of the most commonly used telemetry features most Spektrum users take advantage of: The Spektrum™ STi™ Telemetry Interface for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch® The STi lets you transmit vital info from your model’s on-board Spektrum™ telemetry module directly to your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch®.* It can also be programmed to alert you when any telemetry value you’re monitoring exceeds limits you define. It’s a great way to keep tabs on your model if you’re flying with a DSM2®/DSMX® Spektrum or JR®/DSM® transmitter that doesn’t have built-in telemetry. Even with a telemetry-capable transmitter, you can use it to let someone else watch telemetry so you can focus completely on flying. *Requires the free STi app. Compatible with iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch (4th gen), iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G.

RE: Operating different brand Rx's in same jet
I have been thinking about what you want to do and you DO NOT have to use the Hitec system at all. If you use the spektrum tm1000 telemetry module and the spektrum interface for your ipod , ipad, or i phone, you can simply hook which sensors you want to use and you will have what you want. The spktrum telemetry is different from the Hitec. to use the Hitec, you must use the Hitec Transmitter and tx module. not so with the spektrum. the Hitec interface for apple devices is hard wired to your TRANSMITTER module to recieve data. with the Jr / Spektrum telemetry, the data from the tm 1000 is transmitted DIRECTLY to your spektrum - apple interface device. You don't need to use any of the Hitec stuff. go to the spektrum web site and it will tell you the same thing I just did. this is what I understood when I read the info on the Spektrum website. RE: Pressure tap for Turbax1 ducted fan unit
on the ramtec and dynamax fans , you get 1 psi if using fan pressure and 4 psi if using pipe pressure. ( bv pipe) I did not like the fan pressure and always ran the pipe pressue instead. (better needle)

RE: Operating different brand Rx's in same jet
I plan to do the same thing. I have it all installed but have not flown it yet. BTW, you can glue a lexan "window" in one of your tanks and use the fuel telemetry. this works perfectly. I got this tip straight from Hitec. one of their sponsored jet pilots figured this one out! the reason I didn't buy the DX18 is because all I really care about is fuel telemetry. I my oponion, that is what is the most important .....by far! I also have the 12X and the aurora 9. let me know what you find out, please
From what I read, its a tailerons controlled model... so no ailerons.
you got me on that one, ragz. OK let me rephrase the question.............how much taileron throw for roll function. I understrand the 25 MM for pitch control but I also need throws for roll control. From what I have seen, since I have one, it is a taileron only control system. [X(]
There is no better charger than the CellPro 4s charger
. NOPE, there is no better charger than the TP 610C....................................................... or maybe the TP 1010C[:)] or here is another way of putting it. I am sure there are lots of great chargers out there, but I personally like the Thunder Power 610C. It will charge nicad, nimh, pb, a123, and lipo pacs. it also has a built in balancer .

Burt, i never thought about it but this jet would be a perfect candidate for Tam's TJ 100 EDF. I have one of them and it is an absolute work of art. I have it in an unfinished 1/12 TAM F-16.

definately move the C/G forward. I had a hand full on the maiden of mine. Very tail heavy. Start nose heavy, increase elevator and sneak back on C/G slowly.

RE: K&B 1.0 WHICH FAN TO USE
do yourself a favor and get an OS 91. I tried everything to make the K&B 100 work but it will not stay together. I used the Ramtec and the dynamax. I also increased the pitch on both but it would still break the rod evertime. this happened with several engines , not just one. Mickey Edmonds
