RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
Thanks Mick I'll will try that here at approx 1 min you can here/see the take off , with the moki behaving badly [8|][link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EB-nUVRxV0M&feature=g-all-u]Meeting Bladel[/link] I did some tests with a magnet the led nr2 goes on each time. with the sensor reinstalled depending on the position of the prop the led lit max 5 times (with the coils not connected it's the same) after installing 5 new spark plugs to the ignition leads. after several turns found a constant. No spark when the leds lightends , ONLY the sparkplug of cyl nr 2 , after this one had a spark the led nr2 goes out and stays out sometimes after that i heard a high pitch tone (like a highvoltage powersuply) Thanks for more advice [;)] Eric [image]http://images.rcuniverse.com/forum/thumbnails/405535/Lj21957.jpg[/image]

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
Advice wanted. After several flights without any problems with the moki Today, experience problems: after starting the engine , warming up , everting fine, taxing for take of stil no problem. Then slow acceleration to half throttle then the engine lost power for a second then more throttle input given plane started to fly, engine kept running but sounded like the ignition stopt working now and then, I was able to land the plane safely. I used a LiFe 6,6V 2300mAh ignition battery with a 5A 5V Ubec, after landing I replaced this battery by a 5cell 2400mAh NiMh (this accu i used before for the ignition with the same Ubec) Tried the engine, engine choked, and started tried to give more throttle but engine stopt, after that i was not able to start the engine. I looked at the 2 leds on the ignition according to the manual the 2 leds whould need to light both after turning the prop this doe not happen led 2 comes on 2 or 3 times en then stays off I made a short film of the leds on the ignition (note the ignition is switched on and off together with the fuelpump) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8FR_lOeV04 Thanks in advance Eric same moki in better days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr9DgaktvCQ

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
As said earlier the demand valve is not closing, you need to remove the two covers and have a bit of a clean out. The one you are interested in is the one with the metal insert, lift it off to reveal a small rocker held in with a screw. Remove that and the needle valve will come out it probably just needs a clean.
Today cleaned the input needle valve and adjusted the "L" needle After that everything was fine re-installed the choke servo Thanks for the advice (mick and Gerd) @Jack Diaz, My moki has been away for almost 4 months for service at airworld.de

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
ORIGINAL: wojtek Cool, thanks ! so with the pump running, how does the crab not get flooded out unless its completely closed since its running the moment ignition is turned on ( if set per the same switch/power source ) ~V~

Becuuse there is a needle valve that closes when the fuel bladder in the carb is full. If you see fuel coming out the carb, then that valve is not fully closing. Dave N
Can you tel me , what kind of valve do you mean ?? My moki just returned from airworld for service and i did install the turbulator and fuelpump (380) . After turning on the fuel pump, fuel starts leaking out of the Carborator after a few seconds (i bought this old moki 215 from Mick B. 2 years ago and hope to get the model for it finished this year ) any idea how i can solve this. When the pump is on to long the engine is over primed and is hard to start At this time i installed two switches one for the ignition and one for the fuelpump and removed the servo for the choke. once running, it runs well ( 32x10 @ 5000RPM ) Thanks in advance Eric

I wil give it a try [8D](with a non phtoshopt picture) and it looks scale for me. don´t shoot me if it's not [;)] [image]http://foto.modelbouwforum.nl/albums/userpics/10102/laag-pict6229.jpg[/image] the other (photshopt pictures) where made out of big selection of Photos made by several people during model/scale meetings and pictures I took during a flight (in a Cessna 421) from Belgium to Great Britain this summer. I agree that this is modell forum and not a photographs. AND that not just any photo of a scale modell can be placed here. So that de pictures placed here should be scale pictures and in my opinion photoshop can help you to get this picture. ps I did not participate in the discusion because my englische typing is not that good.
