RE: US JET WORLD MASTERS
Seen a poster for JWM recently when on buisness in USA, seems to be getting good publicity. Dont see BVM listed yet as a sponsor, thought they would be a main sponsor being on home turf, good to see new companies like flyeagle keen to give their support.

I would stick to a brand for expensive models at least you can be assured of the build standard, but worth trying on smaller models

Cant believe someone said Reaction, what a dog of an aeroplane! if you are talking good flying aircraft, has to be Airworld L39, XL Boomerang or CARF Flash,

I have two of the early ones and they are about 18lb set at 115K but you can up the rpm to 120K if you need a bit more thrust.

RE: JetCat filter
ORIGINAL: ravill Don't use a filter. I haven't for 4 years. Raf
That is not really a sensible statement, there are many tubines that need fuel ring replacements due to blockages caused by dirt in the fuel. Yes you can use these DIY store cans of clean parrafin but you can still get dirt during the filling process, what harm does it do to have one?

P120 suits it well, I have about 50 flights on mine. I have a bigger front wheel and it fly's off the grass on its own.

RE: Are jet accessory prices getting silly?
If you actually knew what some of these big name jets kits were being made for, you would have a totally different view on the some of the rip off manufactures. Yes we ARE being taken a piss at! and just because you can afford to spend it, dos'nt mean you should, just because you think if it's expensive it is better.

RE: Florida jets 2011 Photos.
Was there as a punter over the weekend, spent too much money but what the hell! Runway was bumpy and from what I seen it was just too hard looking, trailing links were ok but streight noselegs caused a lot of nose poping up and down, we do a lot of grass flying, and the ground tends to be much softer, so dos'nt display the same problems. Great event though but I really think going to Florida Jets is all about flying off big hard runways. The Futura looked just as ugly in the aier as it did on the ground. Great flying by Ali, shuie etc

RE: Jet exhaust tube
What about the tube diameter, what turbine are you using? maybe you can go down diameter if your pipe is designed for use with larger turbines might save another bit of weight

Down elevator using the eurokit proportional valve works great, I set mine so brakes only work when the gear is down.

How can an oil be off or bad ? even if it is not sealed it could be ran through a water seperator filter and it would be still useable, what a waste!

RE: Jet exhaust tube
At least he is interested in saving weight most guys are prefer to load their jets up with powerboxes and other gismos making their jets much heavier than they should. I have a flash that is 4lb lighter than one at the last meet I was at with the same turbine, just because of all his toys!

RE: New Tomahawk Huge L-39 Not long now!
Have to say this is one of the first model jets I have seen which actually looks its price, which in comparrison to others in the market is excellent value, just think it cost about the same as a BVM F100 which would look like a toy beside it and about $4000 cheaper than a bvm ultra bandit !! I think I will have to get one for my spare AMT Olympus, how does it break down for transport ?

RE: Mick Reeves Hunter
So it is the time it takes to produce the plug is the reason for jet prices ? what about composite warbirds? is the jet shape of the mould that makes it three times dearer? People need to wise up, the factory in China I get parts made for my automation buisness just happens to be close to a factory that produces model aircraft for a number of well know names, and I have visted it a number of times and sneaked quite a few models into my containers over the past five years. I have watched nearlly all the manufacturing processes at this stage, and I can tell you fact! that one of the composite twin warbirds they do takes nearlly three times longer to complete the kit than a well known jet, but retails $1300 less.
