Phoenix Ice Lite 75 help
I just put together a Funjet ultra and am using recommened power setup. • Himax HC3514-2900kv brushless outrunner motor • Castle Creations ICE Lite 75A electronic speed control • APC 6 x 5.5 propeller Flies great LOVE IT.. However when applying full throttle, there seems to be a delay. it;ll reach "full throttle" and fly like that for about 6-10 seconds, then it seems to hit a "powerband" and really takes off!! Once reducing power, it'll keep doing this each time applying full power. Occasionally it may be a bit shorter time to hit the power band. I've tried a few batteries , all 3 cell from 2200 20c-35c to 2200 50c-90c.... same thing. I'm assuming it's the Speed control. using all factory settings haven't changed a thing. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated, Regards, Don

RE: Interior finish
Some grey paint or primer and a spot of speckle paint works wonders on bare surfaces. I use this on all my planes makes installs look cleaner and professionall. (somewhat) I think it looks alot better than bare surfaces. Enjoy!
ORIGINAL: Xairflyer Radios always get the blame, some of the installations I have seen are a crash waiting to happen
I have to Agree!, I've been flying RC for over 20 Years and have never had a lockout or accident contributed to radio failure, and trust me. I've used nearly all brands of transmitters and recievers. Don't blame the brand I say!

high idle/flame out
Gotta say first..I love my JC BEE II KS. Since June, I've logged over 120 flights, and over 20 hours. Not a single problem. I noticed the last few flights, that the idle seemed high, around 60k or so. Last flight went well. Landed and while spooling up after stopping, at about 70% throttle, the engine quit. (No smoke)......Last shutdown reason on the ECU.....SPEED LOW. I went through and checked all the transmitter and ICS setting and reprogrammed the ICS to learn the transmitter. Started the turbine. idled fine at 55k. Did the ecu learning procedure. Back down to idle......85,000. Wouldn't come down. Any ideas?? Thanks, Don

Thanks to Laser Design Services
I'd like to thank Laser Design Services for producing a great flying kit. The Jetmach 60. Easy build, and even easier flying "jet". Powered by a Jet Central Bee II KS, more than enough thrust for easy smooth flying. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVelsl8xSIM

RE: spool up time
Hi Eric. |I've started the turbine a few times today. I don't really notice any lag in any of the four stages of the start. The turbine has always been a little to slow to start. But after Maidening my jet on friday the Spool up time seem to be slow. So I changed everything from the Pump back to larger diameter. Uat is new, and changed the tank stopper to a Sullivan large bore, large clunk pickup. Forward of the pump, I check all lines and Hanger 9 fuel filter. Also check the vent line. Everything looks good. The last few runs I've noticed that at full throttle, I get a "pump limit reached" message Timed the idle to full thrust...It's 10 seconds. I was at Wingham Jets today and Talked to Chuck Storrie. He says He's going to get me a Fuel pump. Please let me know if you need me to try anything different before replacing the pump. Thanks Don

spool up time
Hello, I love my turbine, BEE II KS. I'm concerned about my spool up time. starting the turbine to "running" condition takes a consistent 1 mintute 35 seconds. Idle to full thrust takes about 8 seconds. I'm assuming this isn't normal. Any recommendations?? Thanks

RE: Vent line
I understand about the venturi efffect, I'm just inquiring about the vent line spilling gas when the gas in the tank "sloshes" around while taxiing, flying, or while carrying, or transporting the jet. Thanks

Vent line
Need some advice on a vent line. I built a Jetmach 60 and am wondering how to put the vent line in. Can I double back the vent link back on the tank like gassers do? On my past jets I just vented to the bottom directly from the tank, but always had to deal with fuel spilling everywhere all the time. Are there any advantages/disadvantages of venting like the "gassers" ? Thanks in advance
