RE: How to get a refund from Fly Eagle Jets?
I would say to those that still insist on dealing with this company and its shoddy business practices is to be sure to get a binding doucument detailing specifically times, dates custom options, specific paint etc and pay in increments as each agreed phase is finished and to time backed by photographic evidence otherwise the contract be deemed null and void and a full repayment to date of monies paid for breach of contract. Personally I would not go near an outfit like this no matter how attracive the products and pricing looked having read the experiences of others unless the deal was strictly under my terms and with the backing of my creditcard company or paypal.

RE: How to get a refund from Fly Eagle Jets?
ORIGINAL: Hinckley Bill Had this very situation a couple of years ago with a 'no longer active' FEJ rep.....ordered in October with promise of delivery by end of January so I can finish and fly. End of January comes....no planes....."Chinese New Year" so sorry....will receive by end of February End of February....no planes....."Planes being fabricated as we speak"...will receive by end of March End of March...no planes.....NO SHEETZ!!! Paid with Paypal.....but past the 45 day time limit..."So sorry nothing we can do" Wanna bet.....paid Paypal with my charge card. Informed CC company of non-delivery of items. Immediate removal of charges to my account Paypal screamed...."Why did you do that?" FEJ screamed..."Why did you do that?" I calmly replied to both..."What was paid for was not delivered ..... therefore deal was cancelled"
Way to go,just don't let them whoever they are walk over you, it's how they learn i'm afraid. The hard way!.

RE: Ideas for illiminating tip stall, or undersireable wing drop upon stall.
ORIGINAL: TimD. The only way to eliminate tip stall is in the wing geometery and airfoil design. A good flat bottom at the wing tips and 2-3 degrees of washout will do it.
Plus one, sums it up well.

The town is full of nice places to eat, I tend to eat at the Irish pub as the ambiance is great and the food and drink are reasonably priced with a great line in eye candy if thats your thing. there are cabs available at the gate to go down and back at all hours.

RE: Need Some Advice From the Experts
Like Dave I have also used the Habu for practice flying but at the moment my favourite is a Stryker which I spent a bit of time setting up to give a jet like 'feel' and fly it jet style only, pushing my skills all the time and as it's cheap and cheerful its not the end of the world if I do put it in.

RE: WHY GO EDF IF YOU HAVE TURBINES?
This stupid thread just about sums it all up for me. I fly turbines and EDF of different shapes and sizes and I love em all the same and am not predjudiced either way. Is it me or am I wrong in thinking that the idea of this game is to enjoy it and respect what others find entertaining to them?,for instance I would never want to do indoor rubber peanut scale as it's not my thing but I am interested to see what the guys over there are up to and marvel at their creations even if they do only cost a few bucks to make which for me is unimportant, we can all learn from each other. And if anyone turns up at our club wearing a tosspot 'elitist' cap they had better be very very good or be ready for some flack from our guys.

RE: CARF Flash pricing
I find the Carf sales policy irritating, having to contact a rep or seller to get a cost makes me somehow suspicious. I recently contacted my rep for a price on a MIG 15 but was taken aback with the cost including retracts so have now set my sights lower,I think, and would like to know the price of a Flash but am embarrased to ask in case he thinks I am just a time waster which is not the case as I want a new plane. I wish they would just be transparent and publish their prices for all to see.
