RE: very hard takeoff, control crazy
my hb cp2 makes a hard left also when im starting up, but what i think has been said that when you get it off the ground about 1 or 2 ft, it kinda stables out, but it takes effort on our part to get it up and level.. Im trying it out tomorrow because ive done the whole learning how to keep it in one area and the tail facing me when the heli is on the ground (as long as its not at a higher throttle because then it gets really crazy to the left, i guess thats before it wants to go into the air.. hopefully when it gets into the air tomorrow i can stabalize it enough for it to fly and then i got to worry about the landing part, but as everyone says, beginning usually ends up with wrecks and replacing parts, so i guess i wont feel to bad when it happens lol, itll teach me how to fix it...

RE: very hard takeoff, control crazy
ok i understand.. the heli when unplugged and moving the servos it seems they move fine, nothing holding back or nothing loose, they move smooth when the main motors unplugged, so i dont think that that is it, i guess maybe it would be the weight issue, maybe ill make it alittle heavier to the right side of the heli, oh, do you think my new training gear will work?

very hard takeoff, control crazy
alright, today i have finally been able to get the heli into the air, it has been about 4 weeks since i have got the honey bee cp2 and it has been unliftable lol.. trimmed nice and balanced to a point.. Ok, the the new problem.. When it went into the air and even before, it skids alot of the left, not just a tad bit, but quite a lot and i have no clue on how this is happening or why!!! I want to beable to take off from a standstill or maybe even just have to correct it alittle with the right stick to the right, but when it hits the air, it shoots off left.. I found the old training gear didnt do much for me, so i have fabricated gear using a hanger for baby dresses(the one that is kinda square) and zip tied braces in the middle for the skids to make it wider, yall think it will work alittle better that way, its wider than the training gear and i am hoping for promising results.. Anyone know why its going left so harshly though?

steep pitch and sideways movement!!!!
ok, i have a honey bee cp2 and it was never flyable.. I had the pitch at 50% throttle with idle up at 0 and the blades were tracked.. It wouldnt fly, but now i have a steep pitch and it wants to now, why would that be and what could happen.. Also when i start up it wants to go to the left after getting really light on skids, not just alittle bit, but a mild movement, is that normal? plus anyone with a cp2, can yall tell me which way the rotors are supposed to spin and the plugs, is one supposed to be backwards and one forwards (talking about the connectors for the main and tail motors)

RE: wierd full throttle
it seems that nothing is slipping. i have read where other people cp2 are bogging down, but should still beable to fly really.. the rpms sound really good, i just got another battery and charger.. what else could make the heli not wanna fly?

wierd full throttle
on my hb cp2 i have the pitch right and the tracking right.. the gear can fit a piece of paper between it and pinion snugly but not too tight. When i give throttle to the cp2 it seems to bog down.. Also even though most everything is right, the heli still cant lift.. What else can i do or what is wrong.. Help please

RE: more cp2 problems
when you look are you heli, at the point of throttle is your front of blade up what what throttle is it down, that may help me alot.. If the pitch was set backwards, then it wouldnt lift right?

RE: more cp2 problems
yea, ive messed with that, it didnt help with the liftoff. I was thinking that maybe the blades were put on wrong, but someone told me they were fine, the thick end which when spun up is the front because its spins clockwise (is that right). at full throttle, the front is down, 50% throttle its straight and no throttle its up...

RE: more cp2 problems
what do you mean the elevation trim.. Do you mean on the servo reverser on the lower right side of the transmitter, or the one by the throttle (i've messed with that and it doesnt help it to hover). But i did end up getting the pitch right, but still nothing.. Hoping that it is an easy fix because im really ready to fly lol

RE: liftoff problems
ok, i checked everything you wanted me to check.. The thick end is the front, and the thin is the back of the blade. It spins in a clockwise motion and when at full throttle, the thick (front) is down and when at no throttle, the thick (front) is up. Does that seem right? oh and i seen on my transmitter, the servo reverser on the lower right side is ail(down) ele(up) Thr(down) rud(up) so does all of this seem right, or did i get something messed up from the beginning lol.

RE: liftoff problems
when i throttle the heli up, it definitely gets its speed up, but at full throttle it just gets light on the skids, but no lift, would it be like that if the blades were on backwards. The 4 in 1 turns red when i have it at full throttle, i guess thats normal. It just drives me crazy because its been this way since i bought it from xheli.com

RE: liftoff problems
when i said the pitch was fixed, i meant to say that everything is level at 50% throttle, no pitch. and then when at 0 throttle, the pitch i believe the back of blade is low and when full throttle the back is high. Is that wrong, which is why i was asking when the blades are backwards. Sorry for the mix ups. Its a new heli, havent been able to get it into the air to crash it lol.

liftoff problems
Blades tracked, pitch fixed, batteries running great and fast. What else could be wrong, could a blade be backwards, if so, how do i tell. Also could something on my transmitter be backwards such as the servo adjustments. The cp2 is very light on the skids but no further than that. What can i do lol?

more cp2 problems
I fixed pitch, blades tracked, batteries running great, and yet no lift off. Very light on skids, but no further than that. Could it be that a plade is on backwards, or something on my transmitter is wrong such as the servo adjustments. If anyone is able to help me with this, id really appreciate it because im really lost now lol.

RE: honey bee cp2
the transmitter has a slide that goes from left to right, which is under the throttle and tilt (the main things on the transmitter, sorry i dont know the right terms lol). Is that what you are talking about? one speeds the tail rotor and one seems to give the main rotors tilt.

hover issues
Im new to the craft and it seems that even at full throttle my honey bee cp2 will not lift fully, but will only get light on the skids. Anyone know a way to fix this, ive been told it was the angle of the pitch, and it seems i have no clue how to get this fixed, anyone able to help me here?

RE: honey bee cp2
i think it must be the pitch because nothing smells or looks abnormal, i guess it would smell burnt out, usually like other electronics right. If only i could figure out how to give the pitch right and the blades tracked easily. What is the best way of doing that, such as unscrewing or screwing the links, it seems they really dont move by hand, is there a way to disconnect them easily or is there a special tool that must be used?

RE: honey bee cp2
well, the motor spins nicely, but how could you tell if it was burnt out or the esc? Is there anyway i can see if there is anyone that knows about heli's that lives in north florida or south georgia or maybe any place that can check it out?

RE: honey bee cp2
Is the throttle what makes the heli go up, or do you have to do something else. It seems that it wont go up, only get the skids slide along the ground ,what else must i do, also, i cant get everything aligned, such as the pitch and the blades together. Please help me

RE: honey bee cp2
im glad yall told me about radds training, its got alot of information, but how much throttle should i be giving before the heli will start to hover, or do i have to give tilt before it will even lift. I thought the throttle would be what give it lift.

honey bee cp2
Hey, i just received my honey bee cp2 and i cant really figure anything out lol. I think i started a little ahead of what i should have, probably should have the blade cx2 lol. Well, it talks about the pitch links, is it the metal rods on top or the 3 in the lower, and also if the battery is run low, i guess it doesnt get enough throttle to lift right? because what it seems i had to do was have the throttle full power and raise the right analog foward before it gets any kind of lift.. Help me lol
