RE: Cessna 195 DLE 30 Rear Carb Mounting
Alex, I had the same problem with mine. The problem is that the fuel tank is to high above the carburetor so the fuel is just folowing gravity. I have tried to use a Kline fuel regulator which solved the problem but the engine was very hard to adjust and would not run right. I was getting a lot of dead stick landings. So the other way to fix it would be to lower the fuel tank floor so that the carb would be higher than the tank. Plus the Saito runs through fuel like it's water. Be aware of the flight time. These are the things they don't tell you about in there reports. I am taking the Saito out and putting in a DLE30. Jim

RE: Cesna 195 Prop Selection and Spinner
Thanks, I was thinking about hacking but will talk to AeroWorks about the larger one. I too have the Master Airscrew prop 18x6. With such a large plane you wonder why they give a small spinner and it's not even a 120 cut at that. Thanks, Jim

Cesna 195 Prop Selection and Spinner
Hi, I have a Cesna 195 and I need some info on the prop selection. I am using a Saito 180 engine and they say to use a 18x6 prop for scale flying. The spinner that came with the plane measures 2 1/4" and the slots for the 18x6 prop are way to small. The adapter fits the engine but I am wondering why the spinner is so small for such a large plane. Any suggestions would be helpfull. Thanks, Jim

RE: Cessna 195 landing gear issue
I had the same problem. I had read this post so I had it in the back of my mind when I put the landing gear on. I placed them with the labled "FRONT" in front. The piece that goes over the gear now did not fit. I tried it both ways and it now did not fit correctly. I turned the gear the opposite way with the "FRONT" now facing rear. The piece dropped in like a glove. HMMM! Oh well, live and learn...

RE: Cesna 195 Corrugated Surface
Aeroworks has had alot of warranty repairas on this. I have spoken with Tom from Aeroworks and they have come up with a fix that they are going to put on as an addendum. I had sent them pictures of my wing's. At first they were going to send me new wings and then called me back with this fix. If it does come up or bubble just use a lomg CA applicator and go up the small holes on the corragated part of the plastic on the TE edge. Use a little CA and go slow and press down. They say that this works good. I think that this material is temperature sensitive and changes with hot and cold but this is what they told me to do. I have not done mine yet I have had a family emergency which has come up and can't get back to the plane yet. Thanks for your feedback, Jim

RE: Cesna 195 Corrugated Surface
Howdy, Just wondering if you fixed your Cesna 195 and how did it go? Was the plastic easy to get off? Was the corragated material glued in the spot where the air bubble was or was it just glued to the edges? Sorry about all the questions but it seems to have shown up on the elevator's as well as the wings. Thanks, Jim

RE: Cesna 195 Air Bubble
Thanks, I have sent picture's to Mark and will see what they say. I am no stranger to Mono or Ultra. This is different, it's like the laminate did not hold or not enough glue. Thanks for all the suggestions. Jim

RE: Cesna 195 Air Bubble
No, it's under in the plastic corragated material that is laminated on the aileron.

Cesna 195 Air Bubble
I have a nother post about this problem and am trying to figure out how to get big air bubble out of the aileron surfaces. Grant you they might be OK and not interfear with the aileron but it looks terrible. Plus I just bought this plane on December 17/11. I did not use a heat gun near the ailerons so that is not an issue. This is also the first time I bought from Aeroworks. This plane was not cheap so you think that on a working surface they would have laminated the material to it better. I hate like heck to return the wing's but I will if Aeroworks tells me to. Has anyone else had this problem? What did Aeroworks do? Thanks, Jim

RE: Cesna 195 Corrugated Surface
I also thought to use CA and inject it with a syringe but don't know if this material is CA safe. Then I thought that if I could peel it up and put some epoxy down that it might solve the problem. These air bubble's showed up after being out of the box for a few day's. Let me know if you do this and how it works out. Thanks, Jim

Cesna 195 Corrugated Surface
I seem to have developed an air bubble on the aileron surface. I was very carefull about not useing a heat gun near this area. I contacted Aeroworks to see if they could sell this material but they don't. Does anyone know if you can use CA on this material? I was thinking about injecting CA with a syring to help glue the air bubble back down. Aeroworks said to use low heat to try to put it back into shape but this is not hard or pulled together like heat would do to it. Thanks, Jim

Inventory
I got an e-mail sales notice from Nitro. The picture was of an 60 size P-51 Marie for 99 dollars. I have loved this plane for a while and was counting the days to get it. All I got was an e-mail saying sorry we are out of stock...... I thought they got new stock because this plane has been out of stock like most of the planes with Nitro for some time now! At least 6-months. Whats the deal guys? Jim[:(]
