I feel your pain bro my confidence is so far gone I've gone back to dumb little foamys I don't get it ??? why can I fly dumb little foamy junk with no problemb 's running the cheapest piece of crap electronics , but if I build a really nice balsa plane with all the best stuff money con buy it'l be balsa firewood in two flights .......... I think its the risk factor/ my new rule is; don't fly what you can;t afford to lose LOL.

Dude , thet is the funniest thing I've read on this sight I'm still cracking up. welcome to my world bro ,test flew an apprenice for a freind you know cause I'm the expert ! Took off with the alerons reversed got real interesting real quick managed to get it back on the ground in one peice , probably my most glorious moment in rc aircraft sad hu !!! Hey thats why we all stay in this frustrating overpriced time consuming impssible to master waist of time hobby , its pure entertainment value makes it all worth while lololololo!!!!

Thank's I'll try that that makes the most sense at this point ,as I purchased the katana {built by someone else } as a rxr ,so there is no telling what was done prior as far as programing the esc Thanks .

This my issue with the esc plugged in I have rx power ie. ale ,rudd elev works fine but the motor wiil not run with this rx ,throttle works with a regular servo but will not work with an esc ; if the esc makes th rx power up and the rx makes a throttle servo work the rx should work with a esc I think???? Is there something there I'm not understanding?? I would think te esc is just supplying power through the throttle ch and the rest is kinda a rheosttat kinda thing I would assume?

I think the rc gods hate me ,as per previos post the foamy crashed ,no problemb I own superglue , I also own a katana s ;My big idea was to put a rx in the Katana and go flying , put a 6210 in the katana bound it programed it ,all is good except the motor wont start ,put a new motor ,still wont start ,must be a bad esc put a used esc in it ,imediatly filled my house with smoke .I would assume it is junk seeing as I let the smoke out tried a new esc ,nothing ,hooked the whole mess up to the ar600 that crashed the sniper and walah the motor runs ,I dont trust the ar600 {crash dummy} sso we investigate the 6210 hooked a 4.8v rx batt to it with a futaba servo in the throttle slot ,works fine ,but wiil not operate with a esc in the throttle slot ,all other servos work fine In my mind if the rx works ad it will work with a servo it has no reason not to work with an esc right??????? I dont get it!!!! GOtta be some kind of voodoo curse . What do I need ?, chicken leg , spider venom , snake hair ,repent for my sins what???? I just want to fly .

Andy ,I think I just answered my own question about jr radio s having issue s with spectrum 6 ch rx s; post crash I've got a blinking red light and a solid oarnge light and all servos are funtioning fine Luckily the plane is a foamy so its nothing a a little time and epoxy won't fix . What rx would you suggest ? The plane is a hyperion sniper II >>> JR 9503 rx

Andy, I guess Ive got egg on my face .I called him back and you are correct ,he has 2 ar600 s and a ar500 . If I remember right when I purchased the dx8 it was dsm2 I gave him the tx and he sent it back to horizon they fixed it and returned it , I would asssume the updates would be part of the fix ,as for the service bullitin ,I was unaware of any 6ch rx issues . Do these problems carrry over to the JR side of it? Ihave purchased a new JR 9503 tx and am still running my spectrum rx s on a few aircraft . Mabey I should not trip but I have gone bigger and better ie .expencive . on the aircraft and dont want any failure s other than my own . B aghite as long as its a failure of my own lol.

Andy , I called my freind ,and he says he is running ar6000 rx in all his planes he also said it seemed t bind fine. Is there a compatability issue there ? Mabey our dx8 nightmare is acually a rx issue . If so please advise . rx s are lots cheaper to replace than aircraft. thanks.

If it a dx throw it away it is nnot worth the agravation .I shit canned my dx8 an here is wwhat happened : Afteer wadding up multiple aircraft I gave up on the dx my freind sent the thing back to horizon ,horizon ssent him a repaired rx s :seemed like a good idea ,he wanted a good rx , I wanted the dx out of my sight ,hoizon hobby wants to make it right ...............everyone is happy ............wrong!!!!!!! he gets the new improved version back binds it to his nitro planes p47 {ar6000 rx ] guess wwhat happens next ????? CUT YOUR LOSSES AND BUY SOMETHING THAT WORKS!!!!!!

If I could make my plane hover fine life would be complete I could die a happy man , I can almost do it on a simulator . Mabey another 100k worth of simulated aircraft and I may try with the real deal lol . The 3d thing is really cool . Is it a gyro thing or are you guys really that good? Dont take that question as a smart ass remark as I am truely interested and want to know , and at this point in the game it is way beond my capability or i need better electronic gadgetry ??????

I also started with heli's back in the 1980's .I spent an obcene amount of money only to fail miserably . I think the simulator is the way to go, thats how I got started back in this silly game . At least $ 100,000 in simulated aircraft.lol.

I had a entry level radio aircraft combo { If I remember right ; I'm thinking it was an E flight apprentice dx5 } the magic trick to it was after it was on and did the 3 beep thing the throttle had to be advanced to full throttle and returned back to the idle and it would beep again indicating the moter ,esc was now armed . Like a extra failsafe kinda thing .

my freind bought a carbon z yak to learn to fly .bad idea but the guy is a natural and acually learned to fly the thing .our feild at the time was a state sand yard he s coming in to land between two sand piles and the yak goe s into a crazy spin 20 ft off the deck ,the plane dissapears behind the sand pile and everyone thinks its all over but the crying;; a second later the little yak comes brodeying around the other side of the sand pile un hurt ........I guess its better to be lucky than good any day lol! I dont get it!!!!!!

I read in a post on this sight somewhere that wire throttle ccontrol linkage on a gasser is a bad idea . So here is my issue : I have a seagull 120 size AT6 built and ready to go ,I am running a dle 30 on this aircraft . All the servos are mounted in the cowling with wire ccontrol linkages running the full length of the plane;ie no way to isolate the rx from the ign. Am I flirtin with disaster or what? I dont need any more balsa firewood as i have plenty to get me through the winter.
