12 FG Solution
After accidently truning on my transmitter and plane with the retract switch in the up position and making me a bit angry I found a solution. Even though there is no warning for the retract switch in the up position there is a snap roll warning. I just programed the snap roll switch to the retract switch and nulled out all of the throws so the transmiiter won't broadcast when the retract switch is in the up position. Seems to work fine on the ground.

RE: Top Flite Giant Corsair ARF Disappeared.
Well I flew it. First flight not to bad considering the flap servo became unplugged and only one flap was working. Landed it with half flap on one side and it was not to bad. Second flight I started to push it a bit and the elevators fluttered. I am using the DLE 55 witha 21-20 prop, same combo that I have on my TF Mustang. I am going to try the flollowing items. 1 Seal the stab to elevator gap with clear tape. 2 Move the clevis closer to the pivot for more mechcanical advantage, though I set mine up like the picture in the manual. 3 Wick some CA into where the elevator wire goes into the elevator. THey seem a bit sloppy there. 4 Drill some hole in the elevator tips and put some solder or lead in there for counter balance. The plane flew great and landed fine. Also it needs some up elevator trim when the flaps are down. I put some lead on the firewall and some on the inside of the cowl. THough I dont like to do it there. It took about 2+ lbs from what I can figure on my scale. More to follow

RE: Maj. Woody's X-Treme Jets F-4C Phantom
If its not one way they cannot do it right its another. On my Slymaster F-86 the fiberglass tube in the wing was tapered. At the root there was almost a 1/16" clearance around the carbon fiber rod and it than tapered to a tight fit. They replaced the wings but that took another 8 weeks or so. Lucky it was winter here in the north so it was not a problem. Now I guess I should check to see of the rod is long enough also

RE: 12Z Failsafe and JetCat
Craig: This is what I have used for both my 9C's and 12FG. Set the ATV to +/-75% ande set the failsafe at low throtle and low trim. Than set the ATV for +/-50% and than go through the learn throtle on the motor. Your done and if you shut off the transmitter it should failsafe. No need to bind at low throtle/low trim. Only for JR stuff. If you use 100% it dosent work for some reason

RE: Yellow F-15 Tire replacement
I used a set of Sullivan wheels to replace the ones I had on my Yellow F-15. If I remember you had to remove the inner bead on the Sullivan tires to mount them on the Yellow wheels.

RE: Indian Fire Pump
If you want them to last get the plastic ones that they sell. After about 7 seasons of having the water in them, when I filled them up for this years flying season both of our had leaks in them. Some around the edges and pin holes where they did some welding on them.

RE: UP3 valve and large models
On my recent build I had the situation where the doors stay open when the gear is down and I decided to try something different. The Futaba 12FG has 3 postion switchs and I used that. When I go from down to middle position the gear retracts. When I go from middle to up position on the switch the doors close. There is also a timer in one of the programs with I think was a 4 second delay so I even use that. Dropping the gear everything works backwards. You just need 2 valves and 2 cheap servos and 2 channels to do this.

RE: failsafe and futaba 2,4ghz
I use a 12 FG along with a 6014HS receivers and this set up has always worked. Set the throw to 75% each way and set the failsafe to low throtle and low trim at this time. Now without changing the failsafe settings reduce the throws to 50% each way. Go through the learn mode. I dont use 2 channel mode only single but use the throtle kill to kill the motor through the single channel mode. Not sure how set the second channel but in single channel mode the failsafe has always tested OK. Make sure the failsafe timer is set to 2 seconds also in the ECU too

RE: ECU version No
I just received back from Jetcat USA my P120 and Titan for 25 hour checks. It has version 6.10 I thought in it and I called Jetcat to ask if it had continous cooling. He ran me through the steps to set it up for that. I havent tried it yet as it the middle of winter and so cold it may not even need the starter to cool down.

How many times you going to re adjust them. Only plane I had to reset them was on my Flash which I thought the manual told you to much landing flap. After that I never touched the settings again

RE: FUTABA 10 CG Questions HELP!!!
Ihave done this with a 12 FG but you should be able to do the same. I put the switch in the mid position and adjusted the linkage till I got both flaps in the mid position. You can put them on their own channel if you like. Than move the switch to the up position and set the end point so they of course all the way up. Move the switch to the all down position and set the end point to the desired spot. You can adjust the mid point at any time by using the sub trim. You will have to reset the end points than too.

I've had the same problem. Found dirty connectors where I plug the ailerons into the fuse. Just take and connect and disconnect the connectors a few times and it would clean the contacts and problem gone.

2010 Indiana Warbird
Just got home from this 3 day event. Had a great time and a bunch of warbirds and brave pilots. Friday and Saturday was a little windy, like 25 and gusts to what seemed like 40. For those that stayed till Sunday it was the best. Little or now winds and blue skies. Great flying till we packed up. Thanks to the AMA and the guys who put on the event. Here are a few pics
