RE: FP-8SSAP PCM
Bill, My Futaba FP-8SSAP Single Stick PCM Transmitter internal battery may need to be replaced. I have a far share of electronics assembly experience and, if necessary, I would like to replace the battery myself. What is the battery model number that I would need to purchase? Thank you. Kind Regards, Joe

RE: FP-8SSAP PCM
Is the Futaba FP-8SSAP Single Stick PCM Transmitter and FP-R118GP PCM Receiver still legal with today's 72Mhz frequencies. I have a set that I just pulled out of storage. It is configured for Channel 46 (72.710MHz). There is a gold sticker on the transmitter's interchangeable RF Module that reads R/C MA RF Check AMA 8/14/90. It looks like everything is correct to me, but I just want to be sure about it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with my question. Joe

RE: Great Planes GIANT Big Stik !!!
Hello to all, From the few photos that I have seen of the new Giant Big Stik, is the horizontal stab attached into a precut slot within the fuselage, or is it attached to a cutout on the bottom of the fuse as is typical of most ugly stik designs? Close up photo? Thanks in advance for the answer. Joe

Tomapowa UCD3D Cowl
Tomapowa, Checked your pics on your web page. Noticed that your UCD3D cowl had more that its share of cracks and deformities. I don't feel as bad now about the condition of my cowl as it is in similar shape, but, I think that better quality control is in order. Has anyone else had problems with their cowls? Maybe this is a issue Ann-Marie Cross should address. ____________ jmboss

Volfy S60 tailgear
Volfy, Great looking SS60! Wish WM had you on the design team for this plane! The original ugly stick tail design (and the plane's factory covering design) look rather goofy when compared to your mods! Servos
bpu699, For the Sig Extra 300SX, I would use Hitec 5625MG Digital's for elevators and ailerons. Use a Hitec 5645MG Digital for the rudder. If you wish, use 6v battery power for more speed and even better holding torque for blowback and flutter resistance. With the current price of these servos (Tower Hobbies $54.99), why gamble with anything less? I use this setup for my Sig Extra w/OS 1.60 FX, except that on the rudder, I have a orphaned Digital Futaba S9151 that needed a home. There always seems to be a lot of mental inertia about $$$ to overcome when moving up to larger RC aircraft, especially when it comes to selecting servos for them. Leave those low torque servos on the .40-.46 powered models! _________ Joe B. jmboss1@cox.net
