Btw i have been flying planes for over 40 years and have built many planes but guess what my 10 year old wanted for X-Mass last year? You guessed it a tank ! I bought him a cheaper one but i am saving up the big bucks for a bigger and more scale looking one soon. One day i can see us at the field with his tank and me doing scrafing runs on him with a plane .lol joe

Its kinda of hard to seperate us now since the AMA has these things all over their web site . I have said this before but it was crazy to let these things join AMA .Its going to cost it money and time that could have been used elsewhere . The bike was a gift from the company i work for and all that bling was on it . But i have built my own 54 panhead chopper in the 70's . I cant say i can build everything but iam not afraid to try if i want something bad enough. I dont whine or cry about anything it does no good as you can see by the fast responce of the arf companys to get these guys there parts. There is a thing called getting it done yourself ,if more people would try it there would be less whining and drama in the world.BTW i guess you came here to see if you could get some parts for your foamy bind and fly warbird but just like them i dont think its going happen warbird addict.

In those days it was about a lifetime of service and always walking the extra mile. As a matter of fact that was what good business was about. Today greed has taken over and it is rare to find the old integrity model. What is amazing is that every now and then someone would come along and need one of the old obsolete parts and I would have it. Sometimes one part would pay for the trouble of stocking the whole lot. Often they would get so much dust on them you would have to clean them up before you could see the part numbers. For instance you might stock several old fuselages that you could sell for 100.00 dollars each. You also have other parts that may cost you 50.00 to keep on hand. One fuselage sale of an old obsolete plane might cover some of your smaller items. You don't make anything much but at least you support your customer and all is well. Are we turning into an HK society where your money can be held for months, you cannot get anyone to talk to, and there is NO support for hardly anything you buy? You think you ordered plenty of spares only to find for unknown reasons the demand doubled and you find yourself running out much earlier than you planned. Even at the point of two or three or four years down the road when you sell your last part that is still left, customers still will complain and in most cases there is just nothing we can do when a vendor will not make more. We understand the frustration from our customers and empathize. Today our purchasing person did email our vendor to ask if there was anyway they still had the plugs to make additional cowls since these ran our so much faster than we had planned for support. In return they can give us back a thank you by making some discontinued parts because of our loyalty, and by keeping their products in use. Most of the time, the companies do read threads like this, and scoff it off because everyone says the parts are in high demand, and when they invest to have the molds made, or brought back, and then order a bunch of the parts, they are only lucky to maybe sell 2 a year in most cases. Well, they can't scoff off what we've been doing Rick, the sales speak for itself on this one. Business is about risk and if they aren't going to take a chance from time to time, they can either win by making the parts, or they can loose by making parts. If the sales were so good to begin with, especially when the parts are flying off the shelves (pardon the pun) they should review their original decision. We have too many people in the hobby business including those who came in this thread that have it all wrong, and that's why the hobby is going backwards IMO. And this is just a sample of what part of the reason why the American economy is slacking over time. It is time to bring back some of the old ways that worked, and quit trying new ideas that don't.
