my gear is stock spur and 23 pinon , if i go to a smaller spur gear i should gain a little more top end right?

one of the screws that hold the gear case cover was loost. there is 2 little black screws i lost the bottom one its on there and does not look there will be a issue is this ok? i know somtimes its hard to get those little screws. oh yea can some one post a link to a spur gear that willl work with our evaders the one i got was to small.

my evader is up and moving lol, i got a chager and a venum 7cell 4200 battery. i got a traxxas 23 pinon gear and a 76 spur gear that did not work out. so far i like the truck i have to set the sliper clutch i heard what sounded like the motor spun lose from the spur gear. i checked the mesh it was fine there is no damage teeth to the spur gear. was this just the slipper set to loose?

im not going to go brushless if thats was what i wanted i would got that brushless evader from the start. all i have left to do is get the battery, charger, and spur gear and pinon gear. after that im gona get that traxxas motor and i think duratrax has a speed control that will work with the motor. with out the new motor and speed control can get my evader up to 24 -26 mph with just the gearing and battery.?

im lookin for 24-26mph, im going to get a traxxas 11turn motor and new esc in a few months. so with the stock motor and new gearing im looking for 24mph or so .i think with the battery and gearing i can get up to 24 anyone think different?

spurgear??
im alittle confused if i want more top end speed do i want a smaller spur gear and a pinon gear that is bigger then stock. i think stock is 20t and spur is 88 somthing like that im going to go down to 78 spur gear should i go up to 23 for the pinon gear?
