RE: Official Rustler Thread
Yeah I'm too in the market for some 7.4v lipos. Thinking of grabbing some 3300mah's. I dont need anything too crazy like 20 minutes run times. With a 3300mah I should get a solid 15 minutes. With my 11.1v 2200mah I'm running 8-10mins. I'm also grabbing a water tight Rx box for some fun winter bashing.

Try emailing Wowhobbies to see what ESC there using with the Turbo Motors. I'm sure they'll offer something that can handle your new motor. How many amp is the stock Walkera ESC and what amp is your new motor drawling?

Hey guys, got a new Align 250SP motor today along with a Align 15T pinion gear thats supposed to be for there 250 heli. The pinion doesn't have a set screw option and slides on/off the motor shaft with ease. So how am I supposed to secure it?

RE: Belt CP V2 vs. Exceed Blue Ray 450SE
Get the Exceed. I've had, flown and wasted a lot of money on my Esky Belt CP V2 before I upgraded everything over to a HDX450SE v4. Having a heli where the servos connect directly to the swash is what you want. I couldn't get over the difference in performance and over all feel for the HDX once everything came together. Not saying I didn't like my Esky when it flew but it just seemed like it had a bad delay in stick responce compaired to the HDX.

RE: TREX 250 CLONE
Well I just ordered this yesterday from Xheli.com. Its the EXI 250 and from what I read it 99% compatible with the Trex 250. Frame layout seems spot on to the Trex and I was told they just use a different material. I myself can't afford a Trex kit/combo so I went with this set-up. I did order the Align 250SP motor and DS420 tail servo. For now I'm going to run my TowerPro 9g servo for cyclic untill I can upgrade to the DS410's. ESC is a HobbyWing and lipos are 11.1v 900mah coming from Hong Kong. Between the kit, motor, and tail servo I only spent $145. That sounds better than $340-375

Have you checked the reverse settings for the servos? At you throttling up it seems the servos might be pushing in the wrong direction. Just an idea.

RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
Thanks guys for the posts. I'm running the GY401B knockoff and it's awsome. Not what I would expect from a $40 gyro. The tail servo is a Futaba 9650 Digital. Turns out with the Delay adjusted to around 55% it put the tail whips to rest. But the wobble is still there a little. I was thinking the same with the pitch and throttle curves and made some adjustments. It keeps looking better and better so I'll continue playing untill I get my sweet spot. I've been having too much fun flying this heli lately and I'm shocked I haven't broken anything yet. I'm usually pretty good about crashing once every 4-5 packs. I'm going on pack 15ish and I'm still hella good. hahahaha Can't wait for some sunlight tomorrow. This whole winter time, sun goes down early thing sucks super bad. Plus I'm getting in the routine of getting up extra early so I can fly 2-3 packs before work. LMAO Wonder what Santas going to bring this year. What do you think guys, Real Flight G5 or Trex 250?

RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
Hey guys it's been a few weeks since I logged in to this thread but I see everyones still out there having fun where the weather permits. I got my HDX450 back in the air and she is very smooth this time around. But I have a 2 questions. When I give her full throttle she whips out to the right hard. What do I adjust to make that go away? Is it the "delay" on the gyro? Also when I switch to Idle up 1, I hear the rpm's shoot up but then heli get a tad wobbly. What's that about? My gyro % on the Tx is set to 17% in N,1 and 2. Maybe it's too much gain for 1/2 and that's why it has that slight wobble? Thanks guys, Joe

RE: ........... BELT CP V2 Thread..........
Sounds like your swash isn't level and your right link/links are too long. Check your swash in Idle up and see where it's at. If anything just adjust the link so it goes away. It's not a pitch or blades tracking issue.

If while your spinning up it's starts leaning one way or the other it's because your links aren't right. Start off slow with the throttle stick too. I'm seen people put too much throttle input and the heli would fall over, so start slow. hahaha

Hahaha Nice find though. I was going to tell you I have extras and I was going to send you one. hahaha Thats good though. I'm looking to sell my HDX450 and also my Futaba 7C 2.4ghz radio system. I'm going to get either a Walkera 4G6 micro or Real Flight G4.5. I'm just tired of breaking and fixing. The repair bills have finally took a toll. I added them up the other day and came up with $1,270 in 6 months hahaha No thanks. I'm going to take a break from the bigger helis and try my hands at a micro. Parts are super cheap and I'm told they can hold up better in crashes. But I'll be around if you have any questions. Later, Joe

RE: my 500 esp is here
I'm tired of buying, crashing, replacing and fixing my heli. It seems everytime I get it fixed, I'm able to fly 5-10 packs and then down she goes again. More money goes out, new parts come in but sure enough down she goes. I have other RC's I'll stick with but flying is getting too expensive. Was thinking of getting a micro to fly around, something like the Walkera G6. So I can fly at work when I'm bord and even home out back when the weather's good. Benefit to that is the parts are really really cheap and wont cost a small fortune when I crash. So anyone looking for a Futaba 7C 2.4ghz radio or HDX450SE v4 heli let me know. Will also part out motor/esc. HobbyWing 40A esc and Scorpion -8 motor.

Hahaha After watching that video and inspecting the heli I found that when I replaced the main tail shaft I had it set in too far. After moving it back out about 2mm I have perfect throw in both directions and it's full throw. I adjusted the "limit" pot on the gyro so it's not binding and all I can say is WOW!!! She spins SUPER fast now with no kick back. I'm in love all over again. hahaha She feels more solid now. Thanks for the help man, HUGE improvement. Joe

RE: ........... BELT CP V2 Thread..........
Yeah I hear ya with the wind. I'm off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays now. I spent Tuesday getting the heli back together and flew a bit out front up and down the street. Thinking Wednesday would be better I put it away so I wouldn't break anything. So Wednesday comes and it's nothing but crap. Wind, leaves, and junk blowing around all over the place hahaha. So I took to the living room where I moved some things and hovered around for a bit in there. Maybe today will be better. My next purchase is going to be Real Flight G4.5. On Towerhobbies.com they have it for $200 with that "easy pay" option. It's like $67.00 a month. I just got done doing that easy pay business on my Futaba 7C radio, works out great and doesn't kill your pockets all at once.

RE: Walkera 4G6 first impression
The only thing I dont like about wowhobbies is they dont offer a "basic" version of the G6 and I dont feel like spending $400 on a micro. I just want the G6 with 2601 Tx and you would think they'd make a package and sell it for like $250. That would be perfect. Instead they sell the G6 with no Tx or charger for $220, why not make it RTF with 2601 and call it a day? Weird!!!

Wanted to show you guys something I'm working on for work. I got a new job, I do car audio install for PC Richards now. I'm waiting for my store to open, still under construction. But in the mean time I'm working with a friend at another store location. Anyway, I'm making a fiberglass enclouser for my work bench. It sits nicely in the corner and hold a radio and a set of 6 1/2 speakers. The small power supply will sit neatly inside the back of the box and I'm also working on a HUGE top for it thats going to hold (2) 10'' subwoofers. I'll take pics of that tomorrow at work. Coolest thing is after I wrapped it in my t-shirt and glassed it, the design came through perfect. Not something I was thinking of doing but I went with it. I sanded it down and then hit it with some 0000 stealwool. Baby butt smooth now hahahaha
