RE: 1/5 scale T28 update
Sorry those were not in any order. I hot wired off the excess foam from the bottom of the plug after I had made sure it was going to release ok, the reason for the carbon fiber rods going through the foam was to give a lifting area and to hold the foam at a given height inside the mold so there is plenty of plaster all aroung. These pics show the hotwire and then a bit of fill of plaster in a low area to make sure it sits flat when vacume is applied.

RE: T-28 True 1/5 Scale
got a bit more done on the tail group. Been slow with helping others with rebuilds etc and a bit of vacation in there, oh not to mention work, you know where the money comes from. here are a few pics of the pull pull hook up, the elevator fairings that are removeable and held in with small 4/40 screws and the dorsel fin and top sheeting on the rear of the deck, haven't decided to do the sliding canopy on this unit yet.

RE: T-28 True 1/5 Scale
Got a bit more on T28 #2. Installed the vertical stab, and am working on the lower hinge. As you can see in the pic, this should work out very well with the pull pull on the rudder. I will have more final pics with the rudder removed which will give a better idea of everthing. Also in the pics you will see the mock up rear canopy. I want this to be sliding and have finally good a pretty good working rear track. The canopy has to clear the rear hump in the fuse, but also fit snug when the canopy is closed. The gaps from the actural canopy to the fuse will be made up with the external canopy frame. Will be starting on the wing shortly.

Claes, I looked at Glennis, they have 4.5 & 4.75 F8F Bearcat wheels that are very close to the scale T28. Lenny at Shindin informed me that the gear is his next project, I will keep everyone informed. Have a merry Christmas if I don't talk to you before. john

RE: T-28 True 1/5 Scale
In addition to the hard points, I believe the cowl was modified with lateral streaks along both sides to help with stability when firing rockets or machine gun. This actually may have been on more modified C models. Externally the wing is the same with the exception of racks. john

Claes, the panels on the T28 are all butted together, and yes they are mostly button head rivets with the exception on the leading edge of the wing and the rivits on the cowl. Here is pic that shows the button head on the forward part of the fuse. I see if I can find a good pic of the flush rivits.
