RE: INCREDIBLE PLANE ! LOOK !
ORIGINAL: daveopam Anybody know the advantage of having the props turn different directions? I can understand from the left to right wing. But on the same side of the plane I can't see the plus side. David
It helps with engine torque,, you know how you have a model with a strong engine on it,, and you shoot the gas to it and it gets squirely,, same principal ,, but they are turning the other engine opposite to cancel or offset the torque,,

Nice calm piloting.. and that wasn't a 912 rotax, it was a 2 stroke, , it was either a 582 or a 503 rotax more than likely,

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
ORIGINAL: gttsherman I've flown the revolver with a fx46,sx50, ax55 and now I have a dubjet60lx tuning 18000 rpms. I don't think they make a motor thats not fun to fly on this model. I love the tower 75 It might be alitttle heavy?? What the heck fly it until it blows up[:D][:D][:D]
My buddy had a Super Tigre .75 on his, and it seemed fine, I don't think there is much weight difference, if anything the tower .75 is lighter,, and I know the tower makes more power,,

No it is not cousins,, the Towerhobbies .75 makes considerably more power than the GMS and Super Tigre,, it is on par with the OS .75,,

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
The Sundowner has gone up in price to 259.99,, and it is a small plane,, me and a buddy were going to go with the sundowner 50's, with towerhobbies .75's on them,, but now the price increas was from 189 to 259 for the sundowner,, so we are going with two revolver's at 170ish apiece,,

I believe someone on here mounted one,, I and panzlflyer are making twin sundowners, and we were just trying to make it look semi scale,, we had thought about making custom muousse can mufflers to go into the fuse and exit out the side like the Jett install,,

RE: Best DA-100 IMAC prop
I just put a 25x12 mejlik three blade on my 35% yak today, DA100,, and it is ALOT quieter than my Vess23A,, the 23A pulls like a tractor for 3d and all around flying, the 28x12 threeblade was way queiter and I had to add power earlier in the maneuvers like pulling 45 degree uplines i had to get alittle more momentum, but it pulled through fine, I definitly like the 3blade for IMAC<,

I was looking at getting this Falcon 120, I have a buddy who has one with a 13lb thrust turbine on his,, it flys great but it really isnt' that fast, I was wondering if you guys think the airframe with tight linkages would stand a 17-20 lbs thrust turbine ,,, in a top speed run,, like a P-70 or something, thx

RE: Official Fentress 08 Pictures
Hey guys,, I was there on Saturday and took some pics,, I was there to watch my two buddies, Larry Lewis and Robert Vess, I am probrably going to jump into the turbines in a month or two, I learned alot this weekend, I asked alot of questions, and Larry and Robert showed me alot,, I have been flying Giant Scale Airplanes 35%-40% for 7 years, and helicopters for 3 years,, I am now ready to zoom and boom,, but anyway I saw you flying abunch George, I liked the Eurosport (swiss scheme) of yours, that is the first one I have seen in real life, I can't decide what to get first, I live in Goldsboro, NC www.wayneaero.com and we fly off of grass, however our grass runway is always cut close, and is the smoothest in NC, no bumps, hills, holes, nothing,,,, so it should work out great,, but if you guys have any comments or suggestions on a first jet, let me know, I am not worrying about the flying part, I just want something that would go good off of grass,, I was thinking of going with something like larry had in the 6th picture on the post under here, the orange bobcat copy, with a 17lb turbine on it,, something affordable to start with,,
