Also I've got lots of packs now. Good for a few 4s, 5s and 6s runs. Also ordered an M447

RE: SPARTAN killer ????? Do share
Well, Ive got my DF29 i think at the peak of its top end.. (maybe i need to experiment a little with the tabs tho) but radar gun on our 6S spartans and my 6S DF29 both show 43 mph. I really looks faster, and maybe with a gps inside and a longer straight, we could see more but. As of now I alteast have a Spartan Tie-er. I do have a Spartan now, and like it quiet a bit, especially that high pitch wine it lets out. I wish my DF did it, im sure a motor swap might get me there, but I do like my DF better for sure. I've finally got some 4S pack on the way. So what do you guys think? Try the M447 ??? Yesterday I ran a short little 4S run on a big ole 52mm Guapner plastic prop i believe. It was running pretty well... faster than anything else out there on 4S, but into the 50's far from. I realize 4S would be better on a higher KV motor like the one you guys are talking about. Im thinking about ordering an M447 and see what happens

So that's (2) 4S packs run in parellel then right? Cool, and awesome!! I need some 2S packs. But I'm thinking I can have a serious run at em possibly with my PB motor on like a 50mm prop on 4S. We'll see on Saturday... That is if I get around to getting set up in time

RE: SPARTAN killer ????? Do share
Well, lots to report. Before I posted this thread I bid on a spartan with two lipos. Ended up winning it at a great price. I'll take it... For the money I got it for, sweet deal!! I guess last time at the pond I really didn't get to compare speeds well. I was actually running 5S when the spartan walked all over me. And when I had 6S in it I really didn't get to run with em. This weekend I did about three good cycles on 6S with the Spartans also running 6S As it turns out.... Basically already have a spartan killer with my set up... Or at least a spartan equal :-) The water was pretty rough so it was hard to see who had the advantage. Maybe the other weekend the Spartans just sounded faster. Either way fellas happy to report my rig is running great!! The two 3300 25C 3S Traxxas lipos weigh about 111 pounds lights than my brick nanos lol Also, I ve been having some pretty sweet 3S runs with a 52mm guapner. I'm thinking about gettin two 2S 3300's so I can try some 4S and 5S tests Thanks for all the input guys. I bet those big props of mine will be too much on 5S, but I'll keep y'all posted

RE: SPARTAN killer ????? Do share
Dang That would suck to have to totally reload on new cells. But it is what it is. Do you think I should start over or get a couple 2S nano's? They need to match right? At least same mah right? You really don't think I'll need 6S to run with those 6S Spartans? I guess the idea is... Drop to 5 and get cooler temps and prop up. And also save weight. Leopard is key tho huh. Where should I buy one OSE?

RE: SPARTAN killer ????? Do share
Well So what do you guys think. Should I upgrade and tweak my df29 to run with the Spartans? Or should I look into a larger hull first? Bencorecycle on here is offering a hopped up HK Pursuit 32inch with hobby wing 180A with extra caps and a leopard 4074 2000kv for a spartan comperable $450. Sounds pretty appealing. Or can I get mine where I want it? I don't mind buying a new motor and props. Seems smarter than a whole new boat. What do y'all think? Is say the leopard 1700kv gonna do that much better than my pb 1500kv? So, leopard and x640 and maybe m445 right? Think that'll get me up there with em?

RE: SPARTAN killer ????? Do share
I just did some weight comparing. There are a couple of 20-30C 3S 5000mah's closer to 400 grams, as opposed to the 442 on the nano's. But the Nano's seem like they would discharge so much better to compensate. They show 65C cont and 130Burst !!! thats got to amount to something right? I dont know I guess if you take the 40 grams each battery thats 80 total running 6S ... still thats only .17 of a pound

Aquacraft minimono rudder shaft issues !!!
Got two of these little buggers for the kiddoes.... having issues.. even with new parts... getting the little grub screw to firmly hold the ruder shaft. I could see where the last guy used a heck of a lot of glue to pull it off... cause i can understand his frusteration because I tried to instsall a new one.. and the grub screw keep stripping out and istnt hitting the flattened out part of the rudder shaft... I was wondering how you guys had fixed this problem if at all. it took a lot of work the last time, and got it tight , but 3 runs later got slightly loose (wasnt surprised) came a little slop... caused a crazy run. I really think the rudder control arm needs to be metal !!!!

Well. I'll keep you guys posted. I left it at a LHS. And the owner is gonna take a look at it for me and try a few things. First of which will be a different servo. Just not sure yet if they'll need to order one or not. How bad would it be to go with a slightly slower servo? I think the 420 speed is a .08

Trex250 GP750 severe Hunting Tail Wag issue
Im sure this issue is in earlier posts, but... Just picked up this used model off runryder everything seems to be programed right, but having some real issues with the gyro i think. Im a newby still with heli's. pretty much rely on my heli savy friend, but he got super busy Ive been thru the programming modes, tried small and large heli, the gap is right on the servo horn, tried normal and reverse settings on the gyro. the tail servo is right. throttling up seems fine. just about to lift off speed, the tail hunts WILDLY!!! still cant get off the ground! before we had the little yellow wire from the gyro plugged in , it would almost hover no stick and controls... we wearnt getting any response from the gyro so we plugged in the little seperate yellow wire.... now the gyro is activated but.... wild wild wild getting up to rpm im stumped, and so was my LHS guy Any suggestions would be great
