RE: Stolen RCs
I don't have much faith in the police at this point. I have given them names, addresses, lic plate numbers and they still say that is not enough to issue a search warrant. Whatever. They basically have to catch the guy with them which I doubt will happen. I can understand I guess. Hearsay and anon tips are just that. But what happened to probable cause? Regardless, I have a claim open with my insurance company. I submitted all of my receipts and pics today. My concern is what happens to my rates? And more importantly, what happens if the police find my RCs after my claim is paid? Do I have to pay all the money back? That of course would suck

RE: Stolen RCs
I added up my receipts... $4200... DAMN. Half of which was the T-Maxx I think it may be worth filing a claim with my homeowners insurance.

Stolen RCs
Hey guys - someone broke into my garage lastnight and stole several of my RCs. They took: Firehammer (ddm pipe, kill switch with blue LED, JR XS300 receiver) T-MAXX (all blue RPM parts with some blue alum, Tekno wing with broken mount, RPM wheels, Losi tires, JR XS300 receiver) Slash (VXL system, LEDs, Traxxas receiver with green crystal) The thieves left my Stampede, Jato, RC18T and all of the transmitters and bodies (they took vehicles only). I am glad my three 11.1v LIPOs were inside. Neighbor is the one who called the cops at 3AM. She said she saw a tuner car with loud exaust and blue reverse lights. Please keep an eye out on other forums, craigslist and eBay. Thanks guys! RE: New Savage 25 frustrated owner...
Thanks for the advice. The Savage was actually bad out of the box. The LHS did exchnage it and all is good. I am still having trouble starting it though.. sometimes it pops right off, and other times it does not. I guess it just takes practice. It also seems like the rotostart has to be 100% charged before it starts.

New Savage 25 frustrated owner...
Well let me start by saying I am brand new to the R/C and nitro scene. I picked up a CEN MT2 about a week ago, and had troubles with it immediately. The idle seemed a little high and it would go without hitting the accelerator (but I could still control it), then all of a sudden it just took off RUN AWAY!! It ran smack into a fire extuinisher and flipped on its back. The engine was stils fully accelerated. So I pinched the gas line and it shutdown. Now whenever I start it up, the idle is really high. Its like I have the accelerator pulled all the way back (and I am not even touching the radio). I tried playing with the idle screw, and I can get the idle to really low before it shuts off, yet when I release the break on the radio it just accelerates again!! So I figured it was just a lemon cause CEN isn't as well known. I plan on sending it back to CEN to be checked out. So then I decided I would go get the much respected Savage 25. Went to the LHS today and dropped $550 total. I fired that up and guess what?? EXACT SAME PROBLEM!! @*&%! I fire it up and the idle just keeps getting higher and higher and the wheels spin faster and faster while off the ground!! What's the deal? I checked the obvious things like: - Throttle Trim on Radio is ok - Carb isn't stuck open - Linkage seems to be working fine The only other thing I have heard of is an air leak. Yet my box had a red X on it, and I heard boxes with the red X have been fixed by HPI. So I took it back to the LHS and the guy there (supposedly) tweaked all the needles. I forgot my rotostart so I couldnt test it there.. but when I tried to start it at home it woudn't even start! Any help or advice would grealty be appreciated!! Thanks Guys! Justin
