RE: ZIPPKITS BULLITT THUNDERBOAT
parshallboatworks I love the cowl you made up for your boat. I have just picked up 2 Bullitt kits and was thinking of doing something similar, can you tell me where or how you made these extra bits I tried to click on the photo's but they won't enlarge. I'm thinking of one with a exposed motor and the other similar to yours as I have a rocket tboat done in the std way and really love her. any tips or hints will be greatly apreciated. jim

RE: GAS OUTBOARD guys this is our new home
Hi Guy's Dion dropped in on his way to Sydney for the winter spectacular and had his F1 with him. The weather was very blowie so we found a sheltered bay to play in. I managed to blow over my F1 after only a couple of laps. Dion faired better but he still managed to have a crash. Here is the video www.youtube.com/watch

RE: Next project
Yes she is an Ivan thunderboat, I have been drooling over his work for the past few years. When this oportunity arose I couldn't resist there was also a mono by I missed out on it. She measures at 51" x 24.5" not sure on the weight but she seem similar to my zipkitt hull. I'm thinking bling and a mod k30 for this one.

RE: GAS OUTBOARD guys this is our new home
Yeh that it but I ended up getting the 10,15 and 20 degrees pitch ones and tried each out. I've settled on the 15 but I think they all worked well on her. I posted some video of her running these props earlier in this thread.

RE: go-pro on boats
I tell you they are one tough unit, I wrote off a boat two weeks ago with the camera mounted on it check out the posting "ouch" , and the camera is still working fine, I think it even broke the top off the spark plug in the impact. I have now taken 5 video's since and as you can see no problems with it at all. jim

I'm using the Hero and I've got one of the suction cup attachments for it so I can easily change to different boats. I also have some cord tied to it and them to a engine rail just incase. jim

RE: GAS F1 INBOARD TUNNEL HULLS
Hi Dom It sounds like your video card in your pc isn't up to the task of running the high definition video from the go-pro I am running a pc with windows 7, it's a 64bit I5 processor with 8Gb of ram and a 2Gb graphic's card. The pc has it's own built in card reader so I transfer the video's from the card to the hard disk and I use Windows live movie maker to edit them but the window's media player will play them as they are no problems at all. My camera is just the Hero version as the Hero 2 came out a week after I got mine. I remember that my older xp machine struggled with larger video's hence the treason to upgrade. When I upload a video I firstly edit it and trim it to 1.5 to 2 minutes of play time then I upload that to youtube this does take quite sometime to do and depending on the time of day it can take 1 hour to do, but usually it takes about 45 min's for about 1.5 min's of video. I hope this might help you. Also to fit the camera on the F1 I used the base of the case the camers came in and bolted that to the cowling as the suction cup attachment is too wide for anypart of the hull. jim

ouch
Hi Guy's Had a small technical hitch with my little cat known as the wild child, the good news was that I had my go-pro camera mounted at the time. When we retrieved her and tested everything it all worked perfectly so I don't know what the problem was. www.youtube.com/watch I think that the plug was broken by the camera, the camera still works perfectly on a few other boats after this. they are one tough unit having some trouble loading the pic's so I'll try later jim

RE: GAS OUTBOARD guys this is our new home
Happy Birthday Dom. You'll love the go-pro, I've been playing with one and they work really well on the boats. Lash out and get the suction cup mount makes it easier to switch between boats, I haven't tried it on the outboard yet but you can see i few on some of my other boats that I've posted on the site. ps. I have tied a length of string to it and then to the engine rails just incase. jim

RE: Arrow Shark Boats
I got my hulls before their motor was on the market and I had some spare Zenoah motors to use. the Windrider has a 23 Zenoah in it and I bought the blank hull and used mostly arrow shark gear on it. the octane 45 that I have was an unfinished project I got on Ebay and put a 26 Zenoah in it. both these run well in both smooth and rough water, though I have flipped both in the rough water but i was really rough. jim
