Sounds good will do, i had the wing primered last night. So today i put the silver on. All is good, no eating of the foam. anyone know of any type of filler than can be used on foam? i hv a few bad dings. If there is no good fix i will just live with it, i hv alot on my other t-28 just from transport. The foam is a little soft. Tony

Hi Jim, Great looking bird!!!!!!!!! just wondering if u would tell me the paint color's u used, i know u said Testors brand. also did u repaint the whole wing and fuse? Also if u can give me any tips on how u painted it as far as masking and 1st few steps. This will be my 1st paint job and not to sure what to look out for. reason im asking is i crashed two planes due to them blending in with sky, the plane flys so well i keep rebuilding, i always want to keep one in my hanger. So mabe if i go with this yellow. i will see better. thanks for your time Tony
ORIGINAL: krayzc-RCU
You must be kidding right? I looked at these two fuelers and they are $230 and $240 each. The topic of this post is to get a simple fueler at a reasonable cost. I too like quality but really??? $200+ for a fueler? Gimme a break.
i know that is right i guess that is why i am pumping air vise 230 dollars [:D]
Ya I guess its all how u look at it. On a 35 to 40% plane you will have that much easy on a tru turn spinner and a carbon prop. so 200 bucks don't seem like that much for something that u use for each flight. Really guys, what do we have in or big birds, 4000.00 plus and we can't spend 200, really?

RE: Propeller Torque and Hub Drilling
ORIGINAL: Tired Old Man Bolt torque is normally determined by the size and material type of the fastener, and the material it is threaded into. Can't do that with propellers because you have a hub composition/compression issue. A wood prop normally has a softer hub than a composite prop. Or at least should. One manufacturer found the previous out the hard way when they suggested a screw torque value in excess of 100 inch pounds for wood props with one of their engines. Crushed a lot of wood hubs... Wood props can achieve maximum clamping force somewhere between 40 and 60 inch pounds, depending on the fastener, engine size, and hub density. Carbon props should achieve max clamping force in the area of 65 inch pounds. Their hubs permit greater screw torque without deforming the hub. Never exceed a fastener's maximum suggested torque value. From 60cc and down, 40-45 inch pounds works for both wood and composite props. The link in the previous post cannot be accessed because it has been blocked by the administrator as ''forbidden weapons''. Seems the Second Amendment is not viewed kindly here. A standard inch pound torque wrench and 1/4''-3'' drive hex keys works for everything that uses a multi bolt hub and allen head cap screws. Pe: Based on known usual hub compositions, we're talking about the same manufacturer. I will not post the makers name because it was a custom blade product.
Hi T.O.M. last season i followed the info u gave on this. I have a 50cc and went to 45lb on a Xaor 23X8. no more crushed hubs, thank you. It worked great. Now I have my 1st 100cc and will be using a 27X10 wood Xoar prop what do u suggest for prop bolt torque. thanks, Tony

Yes but thats for a parkflyer. and like u said your flying smaller elec. so thats fine, but try putting one in a gas or nitro plane and fly some nice big cycle's at your flying field and see what will happen.[&:]
ORIGINAL: jrb1
ORIGINAL: ka9fax jrb1, of course if u buy 30+ new RX you would have to bind them. but are u really planing on doing that?? I can see doing this for my two 100cc planes for insurance, but the rest of my 16 plane fleet will stay on DSM2. as far as rebinding, when i went from my 9309 to the 9503 i copyed everything from 1 tx to the other, but still had to rebind

RE: JR stops the sales of 2.4 as of last night for upgrade
yep, the only concern i have with that is the kid down the block playing with his dads old 72. using it for his car or parkflyer or the young kid just playing with it. now that 2.4 is out i think 72 is getting tossed around to much, in hands that should not be in, but saying that, we have 2 guys still on 72 in our club and for the past 3 years that i know of never had a problem, and one of them flys 4 days a week all season long. tony
