RE: cheap chinese batteries
i've got over 20 turnigy batts and have never had one show up puff, or puff during use, infact every turnigy i own still works great after many uses. the one thing i do to all my batteries regardless of brand is always charge @ 1c no matter if it says it can be charged higher, and i never run them down to low voltage cut off. treat a battery like that and they will last and last. i've had name brands die on me but never a turnigy. even the tiny 1s 160mah batt's last a long time.

RE: LiPo Questions
what mah is the 20c batt? if it's 5k or above he should be fine. your batt stops @ 4800 because it's not 100% empty, if it was it would be dead. low votage cutoff leaves some juice in there to protect the pack.
ORIGINAL: thehuntingterminator
ORIGINAL: Eman77 I think I've seen a Kruiser VE review. Not so with the DMT VE. DOOO EEEETTT!
Looks like a good little truck, but I still like the Kruiser because it is 1/8th and has solid axles. I wonder if you could fit a 2 speed tranny into the Kruiser and make it kinda like a Summit but better???
a 2 speed kruiser would be insane, it's already crazy fast and would cut a summit in two. lol, plus it's chain drive. it's pretty much the only true 1/8 mt on the market.
ORIGINAL: phmaximus come on bud, thats not what he ment, I found it very easy to interpret. He is saying... in dot points -Tamiya really won't replace stuff unless it's defective -His fault it came loose -Axial has very good customer service -Axial Sometimes replaces non defective parts -Then his personal thoughts on Traxxas and Apple U would be supprised what Losi replace, and what they fix.
oh i understand exactly what he meant, it just boggles my mind what people will ask of manufacturers, i work for vw/audi/porsche and it's the same here, people want you to fix it free forever. lol it would never cross my mind to ask for a free replacement for something that was completely my fault.

practically all the cells come from the shen zhen battery company, shen zhen china. people can buy whatever they want, and i'll still smoke'em with my turnigys. there are cheaper cells out there that are bad, really bad. tiger is one of them.

the only "fragile" offroaders are the 4wd buggies. i don't know why the manufacturers can't make them a little tougher. the b44.1 can't take a hit like it's 2wd brothers the b4 and t4. for the most part race bred vehicles are much toughter then the entry level bashers.

personally i can't stand black, because it only looks good once. unless it's never going to get run then go for it. box art style in any color looks good, especially metallic. i've always liked white trucks for some odd reason, but thats no fun.

RE: VW BUGS
ugh, both of those make me want to puke. the square headlight look comes from something called the "mullholand look", there were body kits you could buy and they used vega headlight buckets. a very bad fad to say the least. there was a 4 door beetle built during the war and briefly after called the kommanderwagen or something, it was a rag top with canvas doors, used as miltary police cars IIRC. KDF/volkswagen made some really weird/neat stuff, google kettenkrad.
