RE: Zimmerit
i use cellulose thinner and revell putty, use it mixed in equal quantity ... it bends with the plastic and the zimmerit never comes of ... use an old modelknife blade witc are 5,5mm just the size for the king tiger and the tiger I you have about 15 min before dry up, if you need longer just use a bit more thinner up onto it... its easy to go around battled surfaces where the zimm came off here is a pic of my porsche 1/16 King tiger tamiya with battled zimmerit on for me is the best result with hand, it was done in real also that way, its get a very natural zimmerit coat

RE: Buying a Tamiya tank
ORIGINAL: lifen Thanks everyone for the replies! Really helps a lot, knowing that there are so many people willing to help a newbie. I read that there's no gun light in the Tiger I, a shame really.. However, the Tiger I is still a nice tank. I'm still not sure what tank to take, I guess it's more of a preference thing now. Also thanks for the link to the websites and the shop. However, I'm not sure the shop can deliver the Pershing anymore, on another page it said it's out of stock. I should mail them. I'm still waiting for an answer of the tank museum though. Karel, also thanks for offering the Elefant tank. It's a marvellous tank, but I think I'll stick with Tamiya, it being a brand that I know.
who said that abuot the tiger?? I the FO has flash and sound just like the other ones , if you bought by mistake the static yes i could be but that's stated on the box its a static tiger from tamiya but has the metal chassis and transmisson just like the FO one

very keen battlefield paul great work wish ours was already ten years ahaed we just started on a 40m by 15m ardennes battlefield , placing 22m hills for now about 80cm tall and about 3 to 4 m width and on some places even wider its is a hard job i placed a few of your videos in our forum to let see the guy's what we can accomplish together here is the link : http://forum.battletanksbelgie.be/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1057&start=40 thanks for all the pics and movies you'd made, it is a great field and by the way all these bad comments let them for what they are ... its not worth reacting up
