RE: JET LEGEND VIPER BUILD THREAD
Hi, I also had the maidnflight of my "vodafone" viper on wednesday. Everything went perfect. Mine didnt roll to the left with take off flap setting. Flies great!!. My cg is 30mm behind the factory setting, but i will install a smoke next to the turbine, so i will get the 35mm. A very nice jet for a good price!! i have a 9kg turbine in mine (1000g) and the weight is 10kg empty[:D]. So for takeoff around 12kg Andy

Hi all, Had the maidnflight of my JL Viper on wednesday, it fleis perfect. I think for the price it is the best now available sportjet. [:D]. Ideal for beginners and for advanced sport jeters[:D]. Ideal with a turbine with a thrust around 9kg. Andy

Did you use the same hole, Do you have to pump up the strut every flight? bestr regards Andi

Could someone please be so kind to explain me in easy words (that an austrian guy [:D] can understand) what the effect causes to the plane and why i need a gyro?! kind regards Andi

RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
Hi, I have a little Problem with my maingear. A week ago i had a little hard landing [&o], and one of the bolts who hold the gair was broken. so far so good no problem only had to change. But now it seems, that the main gear has too much toe in and i am afraid the plane will start to break out at the start. You can see the bigger toe in best on the photo 3 from above. Could you take a look at the photos and tell me, if it is still ok as it is. i Think now the gears have a little more clearance than before. The are 2 washers (plastic) at the mechanic, where the system rotates and there is now a gap (you can see it on the photo 2). Could someone please tell me, if this is a problem for the start or is it o.K ? @ steve: i set the cg to 225mm and so the plane rotates better on start. Takes 80m hard field and the planes flies very well with that cg thx Andi [url=http://www.enthuzeus.com/event/gallery/NwVTj][img]http://www.enthuzeus.com/event/gallery/NwVTj.png[/img][/url]

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Hi Mike, As i told a few post before, in my opinion the pipe is too short, so i made it 40mm (nearly 2 inch) longer. Now my turbine is in the very front of the turbine support hatch and my batterys (2x 2S LiFepos and 1x 3S LiIon) are beside the front gear. I am not ready for the cg, but i think will not need much lead [;)]. Andi

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Hi All, Here are the photos of my installation. In this configuration i have a gap of 1/2 inch (12mm) bewteen the bellmouth and the turbine. I would like to have the turbine around 40mm more in the front to do not use lead! For info: My pipe has a length of 605mm (23,82 inch) [image]http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/2605/turbine3.th.jpg[/image][image]http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/6496/turbine2.th.jpg[/image][image]http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/7042/turbine1.th.jpg[/image] Andreas

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Hi Henry, I have to tell you, that this is not my first jet model i am building and i allways use the same procedure(and it workes). If i mount the pipe like seen on your photos and if i install my turbine as rear as possible i have a gap of over 1 inch between the end of my turbine and the bellmouth. Could you please tell me, what i have made wrong??. I want to install my turbine as foreward as possible, so i dont have to add lead and therefore the pipe has to be 2 inches longer. Its a little bit strange to tell me that i am wrong? It would be nice if you could maybe post a photo where i can see the mountig of a K80 and the gap between the bellmouth and the turbine? I you want i make a photo of my installation and and then you see, that the pipe is to short. I think i am not the only one, look a few post before people are writing, that the pipe should be longer are they wrong too?. kind regards Andreas

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Hi guys, Last night tried to install the pipe and turbine. I am afraid the pipe is 2 inch to short!!. Henry if you read this, you should think over the length of the pipe!!. I now took off the bell mount and made the pipe 2 inch longer. Lucky my friend Pahl Gerhard who also built my turbine made the pipe longer for me. Now i can install the turbine as forward as possible. No clue, why the pipe is soooo short [:o]. How do the guys with a p60 do?. Andi

Hi , @Deno: there are a few little problems, but as you said no major problems. If you can life with them (the canopy fits not very good[:o] and the big holes in the fuselage for the wing tubes) and the jet flies like henry promises, you get a solid model for your money. @greg: thanks for your answer, good to know that it is enough as it is ;-). a few "little" ;-)) mistakes in your german, but after 22 years good enough to order a beer in Austria :-)) Andi

Hi greg, could you post a picture of the rear? Iam afraid of, that the pipe could Move sidewards, if it Is only held by the cutout in the fuselage, when you have fast Movements. Sorry form my english [;)]

Hi meesh, seems to be a good idea[8D], as i understand you first fix the big tube in the fuselage, then you set the angle to 1-1,5°,then you fix the small tube and fix the antirotaion pins. very good idea!! thanks andi

In the pdf you cant see, how modellbau usa solved the problem, does anyone have photos, how the tubes are fixed in the fuselage?. RE: Whats up with Jet Legend?
Hi, I bought a F16 1:6 from Jetlegend via Pollack in Germany. One of the Cyilnders for the geardoors was leaking. All i can say, never Jet-Legend again. The worst customer service i ever had. i asked jetlegend to please send me a new one, but Jetlegend first want me to send back the leaking one, because they dont belive its leaking, because of their good QC.??!!. Now guess, what it would cost to send back the cylinder to china and the customs i have to pay when the new cylinder come back (from Europe to China). Then i said O.K a compromiss could be, that i pay one cylinder anf get a second cylinder for free. Now chance from Jetlegend!!. So i bought a jet for 3000 Dollars and have to fight for a cylinder that costs 28 Dollars, nice Service for customers, NEVER AGAIN WITH ME. And at least my dealer (Pollack) also couldnt help me -> sell and hide. Didnt answer my mails for over one week and at the end didnt feel responsible for my problem. Now they lost a customer because of that f.....g cylinder Andi
