ORIGINAL: taberj47 well i threw on a gps on my xs and i was only able to hit 53mph with a 3s 40c 5000mah battery with stock gearing and badland tires and monster ss rims not to shabby but man it was so hard to control im thinking about buying a flux hp or a vorza.
Hi taberj47, Which badlands tires on your xs? 2.2 all terrain(5.06 x 2.07") or 2.2 SC(4.4 x 1.96")? Can I put badlands and dirt hawg on stock rims? Thanx!
ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 I might have been wrong about $260. you should already get free shipping, even if you aren't in the club i believe. but if you join the club, they take $30 off a $300+ order. so take that off the total. anyway you will get a flux for under $300.
OK, thanx a lot!

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 If ur getting it from towerhobbies, just order it, join the super savings club for $10, and you can get the xs for about $260. Usually they are a week or two late with their in stock dates. but you might as well just order it so you get on a list before they go out of stock again. and if the esc issue continues, just send it in to hpi. Its under warranty for a year. it might take about a month by the time you ship it out and get it back, but shipping is cheaper than a whole new $180 vapor pro esc.
Hi cumminspower5.9, How do you get a xs for about 260? There is only a $10 free shipping I can see if joinning the super saver club. Thanx!

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 That is correct. The flux xs will run about any 2.2" tire/wheel combo. Just make sure to keep an eye on your temps when you run these. they have a larger outside diameter and will run your motor a few degrees warmer. oh yea and it will easily do a backflip one after another. keep an eye on your slipper pad tightness when doing that. mine came loose doing that and almost burnt up my slipper pads.
OK, thanx again!
ORIGINAL: rologti Be sure to get your diferentials shimed and the clutch & gearbox is tight enough....I have read here that those are the usual problems with the RTR kit...check that before you use it. There is a battery that is recomended by some people here.... http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10277 For the price...seems to wait the backorder worth it..the price and the capabilities of the battery seems to be very good...haven't try them...I wait for about 3 weeks...and they should be shipped this week...the problem...they are again in backorder... Hope this helps.... Cheers
Thank you very much rologti. "differentials shimed" where(which page) can I find the info about this mod? BTW, the battery's link is broken! Thanx!
ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 I put the badlands on HPI monster ss wheels. The black spoke design looks pretty nice on the truck. but they will fit on the stock rims. and i would say the one thing to upgrade are the shock ends, the small plastic pieces that go on the bottom of the shock shaft. replace those with RPM ones. the stock ones are a brittle plastic so they will break when you bring the back of the truck down hard. use these...http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBMSW&P=7
Great info, thank you very much!

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 Well with the stock tires, you will most likely not be able to do a standing backflip. Unless there is a light from above giving you more power lol. I have upgraded my tires to the Pro-Line badlands, and with a 7.4v 2s lipo, it will do a standing backflip. I use a 25c lipo. 25-30c lipo is a good C rating. This is a great little truck, and for the price, this is the best bang for yor buck right now in my opinion.
cumminspower5.9, thanx a lot. Pro-Line badlands w/ stock wheels? any parts that I need to pay more attention (upgrade) before doing backflip? Thanx!
